"Ro came to evaluate the glass work I needed for my cracked window glass . It was obvious by his evaluation that he has expertise in this area. He special ordered the glass I needed and promptly replaced the glass on the day we agreed on . He showed up promptly to his appointments and is reliable. He did an excellent job replacing the glass with ease and it is perfect and looks great. He works quickly , thoroughly and neatly. I am very pleased with his work and would highly recommend him. He was also able to replace a screen for my very large patio sliding door and it looks great. Don’t hesitate to hire Windows by Ro"

"The technicians of which one being the owner came out, measured the window, gave me a price and date for when the replacement glass should be ready.  The office called within the timeframe given to schedule the installation.  No issues with the installation and they were very friendly. My wife was comfortable with them around.  The installation was relatively quick.  They cleaned up after themselves any charge the price quoted.

"Kibur Sahlu was an absolute professional. Contacted us right away for our job and kept constant contact in all phases before actual appt to repair. He came when no one else would. He was flexible and easy to work with. My husband stood by while he worked and said if we could, we should give him 5 + stars We will hire this company again for all our home and repair needs."

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.

Glass block windows aren’t fire hazards; fire-rated glass block windows can increase your home’s fire safety. Modern glass blocks are made with materials that can resist high temperatures and prevent fire spread. Most offer a 45-minute fire rating, while some increase it to two hours. Compared to the typical 20 to 90 minute rating for a double-pane window, glass block can increase your home’s safety in the event of a fire.

Most installations take 1-3 days, depending on the number of blocks and customization requirements.

Options include tempered, laminated, and tinted glass for various needs.

Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.
