"They came right out and took our 12’ x 18’ carpet to be cleaned at their facility. It hadn’t been cleaned other than in place for over 30 years. It was a quality wool Chinese rug worth cleaning. The rug came back beautiful. It was like new Once clean they brought the carpet back and positioned it over a new pad. On the delivery date we had them clean some wall to wall carpet on stairs and down a hall. They did a great job of that too. If you want professional work at reasonable prices (not cheap but reasonable) this is the outfit."

"Excellent service. Carpets needed a good cleaning and Kyle did an outstanding job. I will recommend using his service to my family and friends. Cost was very reasonable for the work that was done."

"First of all, don't take my 4 stars to mean anything less "very good"; I really reserve 5 starts for a "wow". Having said that, the service I got from Friendly Carpet Cleaning was just great. They returned my call almost immediately after I requested a quote from the Home Advisor site, and was able to book straight away (today is MLK day). I have a pretty tall (and annoyingly narrow, wall-flanked) carpeted staircase in my condo, which still had stains from the unit's previous owners' dogs. It took the gentleman a little longer to get set up because of environmental conditions at my house (lots of tall flights to carry the portable cleaner up). But once he got started, got straight through the job smoothly. I'm pleased to report the stairs came out looking great. I'll be recommending this contractor to my HOA when it comes time to clean the building hallways in the spring."

Couch Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

Air purifiers are meant to kill airborne mold, along with pollen and dirt. Air purifiers are a good option if you have allergies and need a whole-home solution, whereas dehumidifiers are best for naturally damp areas (like a bathroom). Consider getting an indoor air quality test to determine if an air purifier is right for you.

While an air conditioner can temporarily run with a dirty filter, it is not recommended as it will not work efficiently. A dirty filter forces the system to work harder to circulate cool air, leading to reduced airflow, increased wear and tear, and higher energy bills. This added strain can cause the air conditioner to overheat or fail prematurely. Furthermore, a clogged filter may allow dust and dirt to accumulate in your ductwork, negatively impacting air quality. It is more cost-effective to clean or replace filters regularly than to pay higher utility bills and risk needing to replace the entire AC unit.

While you’re busy swapping out that old compressor, now is a great time to have your furnace cleaned and serviced , especially if your home is older and your heating system is as old as your AC unit. Likewise, it’s a good idea to clean your air ducts to ensure air flows properly through the house.

No, running your furnace without an air filter isn’t better than running it with a dirty filter. Even if it’s dirty, a filter will still prevent particles from blowing around your ducts and your house. However, neither of these options is good for your furnace or your health. Replace your filter once every one to three months for optimal furnace performance and air quality.

Most HVAC service calls include diagnostic fees, which could include checking on a specific issue you’re experiencing or running through a routine inspection checklist. If you called for a particular problem, the service call will also include an estimate to fix the issue, including materials and labor. Depending on your HVAC technician and the service you requested, you might also get a general inspection of your system components to ensure everything is working as intended.
