This is the client's den area where the floors were refinished. There is a long list of major errors. Here it starts with dreadful sanding resulting in drum marks & edger digs, incomplete sanding, completely botched staining, and a horrible 'finished' product!

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality. 

If the installer is unwilling to fix the problems and you’re not interested in seeking remediation, you could hide a visually unpleasant floor. This will only work if the floor is structurally sound and the only issue you have is the way it looks. The easiest way to do this is to use large area rugs.
