"My floor was in horrible shape after a lot of neglect. Bill came to my house for a free estimate. He was on time and extremely polite. To show me that they could get the floor clean, which I had doubts that anyone could do it, he cleaned a small section of the floor by hand. I was sold from that point on. On the date of the service, they were on time and finished in record time. I was at work and could not see the results in person. Bill even went to the extent of texting me a picture of the finished product. So pleased with this company and will absolutely recommend them to ANYONE that will listen to me."

"They also hauled away the old carpeting, and clean up after themselves.  I was very happy with their work.  I would recommend them to anyone.  If I decide to carpet again, I will definitely call them again to do the work.  They had a lot of choices, they let me pick out what I like, and they installed it and did a great job."

"He showed up when he said he would, listened to me and looked at what I wanted done, and gave me an accurate assessment of what he could accomplish within the three hours of the "Big Deal" I had purchased. He did not try to sell me on additional work, which I appreciated.  The quality of the work was very good, with much of the tile enclosure around our shower looking like new!  My only complaint/advice would be to pay more attention to detail, particularly in the clean-up after the job.  There were several areas where grout was smeared on the tiles and not cleaned up, and some grout accidentally got on the shower curtain too.  Although he laid down some brown paper to protect the carpet on our stairs (the worksite was on the second floor), it was torn up very quickly and there was a fair amount of dust/debris on the floors, which he had to borrow a broom and dustpan from me to sweep up, as he had not brought his own apparently.  This is the only reason why I'm not giving him an "A" overall.

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Most DIY floor cleaners don’t require rinsing, but you’ll want to make sure you don’t add too much dish soap or oil to the cleaner to avoid having to rinse it after cleaning. For non-wood floors, mix 8 parts warm water, 1 part vinegar, and 1 part baking soda with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, use olive oil in that same mixture instead of the vinegar. You can let these solutions air-dry after cleaning your floors with them, although you should manually dry your floors if they aren’t waterproof.

The cost to polish floors averages around $200 per room, but you could pay anywhere from $100 to $300. Some factors that influence the total cost of floor polishing include the following:

  • Square footage of flooring

  • Type of floor

  • Whether you need floor repairs done beforehand

  • Whether or not you want professional floor cleaning done beforehand

Since square footage is the most significant cost factor, you might get a more accurate estimate by using the average cost per square foot for floor polishing, which is between $1.00 and $2.50.

Distilled white vinegar can help you remove candle wax from surfaces like countertops. You’ll need to scrape off most of the wax and use the distilled white vinegar to help soften and remove the rest and leftover residue. Keep in mind that while it’s possible, using distilled white vinegar isn’t an effective method for removing wax compared to the methods listed above.

Yes, you can polish an old cement floor. However, be aware that the first pass with the concrete grinder may reveal a few surprises and imperfections. You may also have to contend with the consequences of previous floor coverings, such as tile or carpet, which can leave a pattern in the concrete. Old concrete is more likely to produce uneven results if you want to use a dye or other coloring.

Steam mops can be a better option than traditional mops because the steam can lift stubborn dirt from floors without using chemicals, and it also kills bacteria and dust mites. However, steam mops have drawbacks: they are more expensive, require an electrical outlet, and are not suitable for all flooring types, such as laminate or hardwood, which can be damaged by the steam.

Regular mopping can also sanitize floors effectively when done with the right cleaning products and techniques, though it may require more effort. The main advantage of a traditional mop is its versatility, as it can be used on any type of flooring. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your floor type, budget, and cleaning preferences.
