Best garbage disposal installation pros near Kingston, NJ

"First of all let me say this. If you are in the Bergen County NJ area and are savvy with online reviews then you will most likely do what I did and get 4-5 estimates from the 4-5 best rated/highest reviewed companies on angies list/google reviews/homeadvisor etc. Which includes Purely Waters Kinetico system (approx $3000, avoid it). Passaic Bergen Water softening and Advanced Water (Both companies owned by the same person now since 2017). NMP Water Systems is without a doubt the BEST company out of all the top choices. I consider my self a good judge of character and have renovated my home for almost 100k in the past few years so I have dealt with many contractors. This company, by far, was the most professional, knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy out of the 5 companies my wife and I interviewed. No salesman and sales pitches at all!! Tim, the owner, absolutely did whats best for us and took all of our concerns into account. He's the one that suggested an extra spigot to wash my car with soft water and only charged us $100 extra to do so. He used pex tubing and copper piping. He took his time in creating a seamless install. He even offered to run the RO water through our refrigerator as well so that the ice would be treated and so we would never have to spend money of frig filters again!! Tim was also the only person that suggested leaving the RO system in the basement rather than under my kitchen sink to save on space and then when he installed the tubing up to the kitchen sink, my wife and I, were amazed how great of an idea that was. The 2 employees that worked with Tim were incredibly professional and well spoken. They put down several tarps over the wooden floors/rugs etc. When they left and we went to inspect our basement, you could hardly tell anyone was there for 5 hours. Their ability to finish and provide amazing customer service was really refreshing. We didn't have to repeat ourselves over and over again to make sure everything was installed the way Tim and I discussed. NMP also was the only company that offered us a 10 yr warranty on PARTS and LABOR for both systems! NMP's price just also happened to be the most competitive for the exact same product other companies were offering. Tim and the crew were punctual during the 1st appointment and the subsequent install and we couldn't be happier! Tim also applied for permits with the town of Fair Lawn and did not charge extra to do so. Thank you NMP for such great work and for relieving us of the stress of hiring a water treatment contractor. For anyone reading this review, please consider, at least, getting an estimate from NMP so you can see why I'm so enthusiastic about my experience. My husband and I just bought a new house and in the basement the washer, dryer and utility sink were all in different locations in the basement so this is something we wanted to fix before purchasing new machines and moving in. Since we have an unfinished basement all of the pipes are exposed so we thought it would help make the job a bit easier to do. Even though we played a bit of phone tag with Rob in the beginning he was able to come out and give us a fair estimate. He showed up on time and was very friendly, with a big smile on his face. We knew this is someone who enjoys what they do. We talked through different options and it was clear he wasn't trying to over sell us on work we didn't need. He was trying to come up with the most cost effective way of getting done what we were looking for. He was able to write up an estimate while he was at the house which was way faster than anyone else. Other plumbers we have to wait almost 2 weeks for the estimate back. He was very reasonably priced and came in right where our budget was and what we thought it might cost so we hired him.

He was not able to come out the day it was scheduled because we had some bad weather and there were other plumbing emergencies in the area and since ours wasn't an emergency, we understood. But he was able to come the next day which was just in time for our new machines to be delivered. He showed up on time, was again very professional and friendly. He got the job done in the time quoted and we were very pleased with the results. His work was very clean and he walked me through everything he did when it was all done.

This is someone I would definitely hire again in the future and would recommend to anyone.

"Joe connected my washer and dryer from the basement to the upstairs room. Since I didn't have my new dryer yet, he had to come back on another day to install the exhaust vent. He did a great job and didn't overcharge me like many plumbers do. I definitely will call him back for more jobs in the future."

2nd time I used Affordable Rooter at my house.  1st time was just to clear a clogged drain.  This time was for a leaking drain and vent pipe that were improperly installed by the previous owner.  Both time I used him he showed up on time, was responsive and did clean / neat work.  This was a rather difficult spot to work inside the cabinet, but was able to do everything without having to pull the cabinet / countertop or backsplash apart which was important for me.

"We could not be happier with the Puronics Hydronex iGen Whole home treatment system and Micromax 7000 drinking water system provided by Orbit Water Solutions. Justin, the marketing rep who sold us the system, was very professional and accommodating. Justin took about an hour to demonstrate a series of tests which reflected to quality of our water which had more chlorine and hardness than we expected. If you have concerns for lead, Orbit standard demonstration does test for it so you will need to have a separate test done. After some negotiation, we were able to settle on a deal which got us the system and financing for the next 10 years. Orbit provides annual maintenance services on the machine and there is a lifetime warranty on parts which really assured us we were making an investment to improve our water. The best part about it is that the system travels with you. For a small fee, Orbit will pack the system up and ship it to your next home if you move which was a big selling point for us. Orbit also threw in a subscription to PureSelects soap for the next 10 years which was a nice add-on. PureSelects provides every kind of soap or cleaning product you could ask for so it will be nice not to have to purchase additional soap products in the near future. Within a couple days, the installation team came out to install the system. They arrived on time but the installation took a little bit longer than expected. Turns out our the installed garbage disposal was too large to fit with the RO unit tank under the sink. Orbit was very accommodating though. Orbit purchased a new garbage disposal and installed it free of charge which I bet many companies would not have done. I highly recommend getting the larger of the under sink tanks for the RO unit. Even with the two gallon tank, my family has used up all the water in the tank. A 1 gallon tank would just not have been enough. The water in our house has been incredible since we installed the system a few months ago. We noticed an immediate impact to our skin and hair after using it and our drinking water certainly tastes better. Best of all, we feel confident in the quality of the water we use throughout the house to keep us safe and our appliances in good condition. We highly recommend the investment in the water treatment systems through Orbit."

"The company sent out very professional installers. First the owner came out with tons of actual samples of cabinets, and granite and tile for the backsplash. And they weren't just small pieces. He had samples of cabinet doors, ;large boards of the tiles and large pieces of the granite types. Large enough to put over a section of the counter with a large section the the backsplash behind it to see how it would really look when installed. The next week, two guys came out and spent the morning doing exact measurements of all the surfaces to renovated. The actually built a wood framework of the walls and counters so the counters and backsplash could be made to the exact forms needed. And then about ten days later the installation was scheduled. The work took about a week. The installlers were great and took care to clean up each day before they left. When all the installation work was completed on Friday, the plumber cam out and hooked up the sink and disposal and all was finished by 5:00 on Friday. The kitchen was transformed. It was the first upgrading in the kitchen we had done after living here for 35 years. And I can tell you it was worth the wait. And the price was more than reasonable. I have recommended this company to friends and neighbors and would again."
