"Our floors in the kitchen were not leveled we had a leak in the kitchen from our dishwasher and the floors were damaged. We called VCH Flooring and Parag came out to give us the estimate. He recommended that we have to do a full leveling on the floor and install the tile in the kitchen which will match to our cabinets. We decided to go with VCH Flooring and it was the best decision we made. Parag and his crew did an amazing job in leveling the floors and installed the tiles perfectly. "CH Hardwood floors responded quickly to my message. They came to look at the job the same day. They gave me a good quote and were on site in less than a week. There are a few different types of finishes to choose from for the final step of the project. 

Water-based polyurethane sealants emit fewer odors and fumes but dry quickly, which can pose a challenge when trying to get a smooth coat. Oil-based polyurethane sealants let out more odors and fumes into the air (it’s especially important to wear a respirator if you choose this type), but they take longer to dry, which can be more forgiving during the finishing step.

As with timing, the cost to remove tile flooring varies depending on a number of factors, including size and type, adhesive type, condition of the tile and adhesive, and the method used to remove it. If you’re doing it yourself, you can expect the job to cost only the price of any tools, materials, or equipment that you don’t already have. If you’re hiring a professional, expect to pay between $2 and $7 per square foot for labor costs, along with added fees for materials.

In addition to local hardware stores, many big-box chains and national equipment rental companies carry floor sanders for rent. Additionally, U-Sand, manufacturers of a random orbital floor sander, operate a rental program in partnership with a number of different regional chains and local outlets. Make sure to thoroughly compare the prices at all the stores nearest you—while the costs average out to a similar range across dealerships, some of them offer significantly better rates for long-term rentals than others.
