"They knew the job, and could complete it comfortably except a small touch up issue in fan install. They cleaned up the place when they left. The only issue was that the bathroom light blew up (for some unknown reason) once they left. I tried to reach them but no response whatsoever. This left me one simple option of changing the bulb, and it worked !! The main concern was NO response of any kind the day job was completed. The other issue is the whole discount options via Angie's is NO real discount. The $99 coupon for a $250 job is all just a marketing trick, and nothing more.."

"I contacted JA drywall to work on some popcorn ceilings for me. Josh was very responsive and arrived on time to give me an estimate. To his credit, he did inform me that his estimate would probably be higher than other estimates I would receive. I decided to go with Josh because I felt he was honest, how he communicated with me and because he was available via telephone. Unlike other drywall contractors, who did not show up or were very flaky with the communication. Josh started the work on time and finished when he said he would be complete. Josh did a great job with my ceilings. The drywall was installed, taped, and sanded. I was very impressed with the work they did and I would absolutely hire him again. If you’re looking for drywall to be completed, Contact Josh and then call other companies and you’ll see the difference in communication. A+ in my book."

"Received $11000 project quote for a solar panel installation with 0% finance. The quote was attractive, and I decided to go with this company. Applied for 0% financing card and got approved for it. However, after receiving permits, the company changed the contract to 6% financing option. The company insisted that the contract was originally 6%. After much discussion, it provided me with a very ambiguous and small fine prints as part of the contract. The installation was done cheap. The guys used cheap plastic pipe to get the electrical work done and also made a hole in the roof to run the electrical line through. All of these works were done without discussing it with the owner. After receiving the payments, no help or guidance for setting up SREC. You get what you pay for. I regret that I chose this vendor for solar panel project."

Replacing an outdoor air conditioner with a high efficiency, consumer reported top rated American Standard unit. Level, wired properly, and completed beyond code and required standards. Thank goodness for a team that cares and loves what they do AND our customers.
Great technicians who have amazing skill and are just good humans too.

"They worked a miracle in our opinion. From beginning to end we were totally impressed. It started with a visit to the showroom. Paul was friendly and answered all our questions and concerns without any problems. From there Doug came to our house to see the kitchen, get and give us ideas and suggestions. He actually listened to our budget concerns and restrictions and came up with a design that we absolute fell in love with. We hired McHales in May. At the end of may, Dough came to the house with the remodeling team to go over the designs and address any additional problems or concerns that may have come up. Only thing that came up at the time was the electrical panel box needed to possibly be upgraded and we decided to do it since we were having the work done anyway. The remodel itself started promptly on July 11th as scheduled. Vince and his team were prompt, friendly, answered any questions we had. Unfortunately a problem with the old plumbing drain pipes was discovered. The problem did cost additional, but nobody could have seen that issue until actual work started. But we will say they clean up every day, they were great! The work was projected to be completed on July 29th. It was completed August 3rd because of the plumbing. We are totally pleased with the results and would not hesitate to have them come out for any work we need done. We plan on doing our bathroom in 2 years and only plan on calling them out. Quality workmanship is definitely shown. The price below reflects the additional costs of the plumbing, electric and soffit. The attached pictures honestly don't do it justice."

"They had very good availability. They came and did everything as fast as they could. It was very convenient that way. The bad would be that they painted the window seal white. It had previously been a dark color, and I am not sure if they primed it good enough. You can still see the dark color through it. If we used them again we would go over our specifications a little more carefully before hand."

"It went great... but this company is no longer in business in the US. So we could not have them do the home energy upgrades. If they were still around we likely would have went with them!

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

The main disadvantage of under-cabinet lighting is the cost. You can expect to pay an average of $265 per fixture, although your exact costs will depend on the scope of your project. And of course, adding new lighting features means you’ll be using more electricity each month. Depending on the installation method and type of bulbs you choose, you may also have to deal with minor inconveniences like visible cords or bulbs that generate heat.

The process of installing a pendant light is actually quite simple. If you’ve ever learned how to install a light fixture of any kind, you’ll already know what to do. Pendant light installation consists of connecting wires from your home circuit to the fixture, securely installing it to a mounting bracket in the ceiling, and assembling the rest of the light—simple as that. If you’re not sure about installing your own lights, you can always get in touch with a local light installation company to lend a hand.

Incandescent lights are glass bulbs with metallic filaments inside, while LEDs feature “light emitting diodes” that illuminate when they come in contact with an electrical current. You can buy either for your Christmas lights, but note that LED lights are more energy-efficient and have a longer lifespan.

It’s technically possible to install your own outdoor lighting, but we only recommend it for wireless set-ups, which won’t last as long as wired outdoor lights. Installing wired lighting around your property requires help from a professional electrician, especially since improper installation can increase the risk of fire. You may need a licensed professional to pull an electrical permit for you and sign off on the work. We suggest leaving the work to an expert to ensure good design, maximum security for your home, and the best quality work possible that will last for decades.

In many cases, installing or replacing a light fixture on your own is a reasonable afternoon DIY job, and you can easily learn how to install a light fixture yourself. If the light fixture requires new switches, cuts into your drywall or ceiling, new wiring, or any other more complex task, it might be worth calling a local contractor who has the right knowledge and expertise.
