"Chris is incredibly professional and knowledgeable about everything audio and visual. I had speakers and a receiver and bought a new TV. Chris set up the entire system to the new TV, hid all the lines and the audio and visual is incredible. He also set up a universal remote for the main system and Amazon echo for another speaker system in the house. He also mounted two TVs. Everything looks so good in the room and all the wires are hidden and the lines are clean. Will absolutely hire Chris again for all future projects. He is reasonably priced and you will absolutely get quality work."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

Yes, drywall can hold a 50-pound TV. However, when mounting a TV, you’ll either need to attach it to wall studs or use drywall anchors. If you use anchors, make sure to buy a type that can hold at least 50 pounds. Molly bolts, threaded anchors, and toggle bolts are all good options. For extra support, you can also install a wall mounting plate with the anchors.

Coax cable connects to your television, modem, or cable box. Look for a female coax connection on these devices. Your coax cable will connect to any of these. The other end of the wire runs to the service connection coming into the house.

In most cases, you should not put a TV on a fireplace mantel. The minimum width required to put a TV safely on a shelf or mantel is 10 inches, but pre-made mantels are usually too shallow, averaging at only seven inches deep. If you do choose to place a TV above a mantel, it should be mounted to the wall. However, do so cautiously as heat radiating from the fireplace could potentially cause damage to electronics.

As with any service provider, it’s customary to tip professional TV mounters after they complete your TV mounting service. Consider tipping 20% of the service cost, or $10 to $20 per professional. Tipping is always appreciated, especially for a labor-intensive mounting job or one that requires multiple people and hours.

Fire and electronics typically don't mix, but that doesn't mean you can't mount your TV on a brick fireplace. However, you should proceed with caution. If you do not use your fireplace regularly, you can be assured that your TV will remain undamaged. However, if you do take advantage of it, be aware that hot air, containing soot, will travel upwards. Even with the flue fully open, the temperature above the fireplace can still get very high.
