"We hired Jeanette to deep clean our shore trailer after a long winter, and we could not have been happier with the results! When we arrived, the trailer was spotless, smelled amazing, and was completely ready for us to enjoy right away without having to worry about cleaning a thing. Jeanette was friendly, professional, and very thorough with her work. You can tell she truly cares about doing a great job. We were extremely pleased with her services and highly recommend her for all of your cleaning needs!"

"Finally got to enjoy our new homes fireplace: SAFELY! And this was all due to the care of Bricks Chimney Service. We were told that the fireplace was not used for the past 10-15 years. These guys came in and did their inspection. They took me through every step; showing me the obvious dangers of my fireplace and chimney. Came back, fixed the trouble areas, and we now enjoy our fireplace!!! Thank you Bricks!!!"

"From the first interaction with Josh the owner we knew we were in good hands. He was thorough and very professional. The work was done within a week of the estimate. When he gave us a price he never wavered even though he had to do some extra work. His Tech Bill was extremely knowledgeable and quick on the job also very professional and friendly! I highly recommend this company and will use them again if needed Bonnie Millard"

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

It’s possible that installing solar panels can lead to mold on the roof. The panels themselves are not the issue. Problems caused by improper installation—such as roof leaks and mounts that aren’t sealed properly—can cause mold. Another potential cause of mold is debris accumulation under panels, which can trap moisture. If you live somewhere with extreme snow, rain, or hail, your home could be more prone to mold.

While spotting a bit of algae on your roof may not bother you at first glance, it is certainly bothering your roof shingles. The presence of algae can cause decay and shorten the lifespan of your roof’s shingles, which can lead to much bigger problems down the road. While this issue may seem cosmetic at first glance, it goes much deeper than that.

Moss grows in dark areas of roofs, including in corners and gutters. If left alone, it can grow under roofing and cause permanent damage. Here’s how to remove moss from metal roofs

  • Soak the moss to soften it

  • Scrub it away with a soft-bristled brush, or pick it off with your hands (be sure to wear gloves)

  • Use a moss remover that’s compatible with metal roofing, following the manufacturer’s directions

  • Remove dead moss and rinse the roof thoroughly

  • Prevent future moss growth by trimming branches, cleaning gutters, and attaching zinc strips to moss-prone areas

Yes, algae-resistant shingles will prevent algae and moss growth, providing double protection for your roof and roof flashing. The copper-infused granules on algae-resistant shingles release copper ions that inhibit plant growth in general, so moss will have a harder time growing on your roof, too. Keep in mind that copper ions flowing off your roof during rainfall can also inhibit plant growth below, so your gardens and grass may be affected.

Yes, moss can be dangerous for your roof if left in place to grow without treatment. The moss soaks up and holds moisture. Having a constantly damp roof could lead to problems with rot for the parts of the roof that consist of wood. Additionally, a patch of thick moss may draw insects and birds, which could damage the roof. Thick moss could block the roof’s drainage system. Water then may back up after a rainstorm and cause further damage that could eventually lead to roof repair expenses or the cost of roof replacement.
