"Economical, efficient, thorough. Easy to work with. I had them remove a very large tree that had fallen in my yard. The price they gave me was very competitive when compared to three other vendors. It was so competitive that I hesitated to give them the job at first. I was concerned they might shortcut the job. I gave them the job and I must say they exceeded my expectations They even did extra work I had not proposed. I can t recommend them enough. Excellent, excellent. Outstanding, prompt, quick, safe, and as I said absolutely thorough More than I expected . Hoping for that next tree to come down so I can call on them again"

"Sami came by when promised, gave a quote better than I expected, showed up on the date promised and the time promised! The whole project of 3 tree removals took less time than anticipated and they clean up very nicely. If needed, will definitely use again. I am impressed which hasn't happened with me in a long time. Thank you Sami's Tree Service."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Ideally, you should wait to prune until trees have gone dormant in late fall to early winter. The worst times to prune trees are early fall and late summer, as pruning them so close to dormancy makes it difficult for the tree recover before it goes dormant for the season.

Common signs that a tree is rotting include dead branches, a leaning trunk, peeling or cracked bark, leaf discoloration, and the presence of fungi. If you notice any of these signs, it’s best to hire an arborist near you to inspect your tree and determine if it can be saved or if it needs to come down.

While it’s best to have access to large, healthy, strong trees in a safe position, treehouse living is still possible without them. Contractors can fit tree posts to build the structure onto or use posts as additional support alongside the trees themselves. If you’re in doubt about the suitability of the trees on your land, consult with a local treehouse builder before you start the project.

Transplanting a palm tree is a similar process except for a couple of important differences. First, their root ball doesn’t need to be as large as a “true” tree, which makes them a bit easier to dig up and move around. Second, they struggle more with taking root and staying upright in a new location, so it’s important to give them extra support when staking.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.
