The appointment was made and changed by the purchaser several times. The company was very understanding and rescheduled for me - no problems.  They called before arriving and were on time. The gentleman was polite and courteous. He proceeded with the inspection which was thorough and complete.  He alerted me that I had  potential problems with the house electrical panel and pointed out several other issues. He proceeded to write up the inspection.  I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism.  The inspection took well over an hour. I would not hesitate to use them for my electrical issues.

Small jobs welcome

"My experience with Apollo Electric was wonderful. I needed some normal electrical work done, and also some detailed more involved work. He handled everything with care as if it was his own home. He was very detailed oriented, neat, clean and very honest. Mike worked hard during the entirety of the job, I was very pleased and I would call him for any job I need involving electrical work for the future"

"I connected with Bob on the phone immediately and did not hire 3 other pros who bid on the job. Bob was very competitive. The quote had to be revised after the fact and after hanging several fixtures however, Bob was very professional handling it and was a gentleman. I trusted both Bob and Chris alone in my home and felt very comfortable doing so. Bob, Chris and their team Rob A and Rob C were perfectionists and extremely competent. The team is very pleasant, professional and easy to work with. Bob and Chris are very reliable, warm and more than competent. Bob has been doing electrical work for 35 years and is up for any challenge. I would hire them in a heartbeat to do electrical work in my house and would highly recommend them!!!!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

240V is the standard for more demanding appliances in the United States, whereas 220V is more common elsewhere. The voltage isn’t very different in any practical sense. The United States is a newer country compared to many other regions in the world with a faster adoption of new electrical needs. Appliances in the United States are often bigger than other parts of the world.

The Occupational Safety and Home Administration (OSHA) requires an electrical panel to have a minimum of three feet (36 inches) of room from the front of the panel to the closest obstacle. In this case, the word obstacle refers to nearly everything, including walls, machines, and other fixed objects. Additionally, panels require at least 6½ feet of headroom in the area directly in front of the fixture. These requirements help ensure safe use of the panel and allow electricians plenty of room to work.

Yes, an AFCI (arc fault circuit interrupter) outlet also has line and load terminals, although it uses different technology than a GFCI and offers a different kind of protection. AFCIs monitor for internal arc faults, a type of wiring problem that can start an electrical fire.

Do not touch electrical wires in your home without first turning off the power at your circuit breaker and testing the wire with a voltage meter or multimeter. Electricity still flows through wires even when a light switch is powered off, and touching wires with the switch on can result in electrical shock.

Yes, electric-start snow blowers need to be plugged in to start, but you can unplug them and go once they’re up and running. Simply plug the snow blower into an outdoor outlet and press the start button. Once it starts, you can unplug it and use it freely. The idea for these types of snow blowers is to simplify the starting process from the typical pull-string starts.
