Plymouth Nursery & Landscape Company

Fantastic work by John and his crew! We hired Plymouth Nursery and Landscape Co. after seeking out multiple companies for our property needs. John's extensive knowledge, expertise and overall passion for plants made me feel like we were in very good hands. The entire process was thorough and yet allowed for additional improvising depending on our needs. Lots of credit to the crew, who worked in challenging weather conditions and handled the stone work, landscaping, lighting and irrigation systems with patience and skill. I appreciated having a detailed layout of our plans so we had a clear understanding of the project and all the materials/plants being used. I was able to give John a vision and he brought everything to life in a way I could have never imagined. I will admit that this project was quite expensive and we also added on to our initial bill. It was an expense that will further add to making our house our home--one that I am very proud of when I pull up my driveway. Thank you very much to John and his crew for the exceptional work! I'm confident we'll continue to use your services for years to come

Excellent job! 3rd time using DiMaria Masonry. Bricks twice, once for pointing and once for repair of someone else’s work and once for my Chimney. Would Definitely refer them. On time, professional, and excellent work! Honest, up front and fair.

"Bowen construction installed a deck, added an energy star sliding door, moved vents, performed plumbing repairs so my kitchen pipes would not freeze, added light and outlets and moved my interior dining table light. All work was excellent quality and his quote was 1/3 the cost of any other contractor. When I need more work I will be utilizing his services. Highly responsive to any text or call. "I am absolutely thrilled with my new backyard!! A few years ago, I decided to hire someone to gut and makeover my bowling ally-shaped backyard. I'm pretty busy and waited until the summer to get estimates. That was my first mistake. By the time June rolls around, most of the quality companies are already busy, Amazing Tree included. Last year, I got an earlier (but not early enough) jump on the process and was able to get one estimate finalized. It was with a different company and during the installation of the patio, I had numerous issues with them. Based on the distance from the house, the patio was not dug deep enough to allow water to shed properly. Then, they placed a ton of dirt from the excavation along my cedar fence, rotting the bottom of the panels. For obvious reasons, the work stopped there and I waited to finish the yard until this year. Around March, I started the estimate process again with yet another company and Amazing Tree. The reason I decided to go with Matt is because he listened... his first design was a near-perfect match to what I had asked for and he included all of the elements I wanted. He also included some ideas I never would have thought of and absolutely love. It was also a finished design, as he included all of the details from tall trees to groundcover and stepping stones. Compare that to the two other designs I got... One was nothing like what I asked for, had a relatively cold and stark feel, and was much more expensive than Matt's design. The other was close, but he kept trying to sell me on additional details I didn't ask for and couldn't afford. When it came to specifics, Matt was also extremely patient with me. I have two dogs... one of which tries to eat every plant in sight. So, there was a lot of back-and-forth trying to find plants that fit the design, but were not toxic to dogs. In addition, he understood that my budget was a real issue. He adapted the design to my price-point and explained what we could cut and/or swap for less expensive plants. With respect to the installation, they followed the exact timeline Matt had explained a few weeks prior and his crew was respectful, helpful and skilled. I asked about 2000 questions during the process and every single one was answered without the annoyance or frustration they probably felt... it was a huge investment for me and, after a company tried to put in the patio at too shallow of a depth, I was watching everything. When the extension of the patio went in and I noticed that EP Henry had yet again slightly changed the colors of the pavers, Matt handled it with ease and made the patio look great, though I'm willing to bet it created a problem for them. On top of all of that, he happily made some last minute adjustments to the plans at my request and helped out with some details that were not included in the cost... they moved my old patio furniture, they buried landscape wire for me, Matt gave me some advice on where to place lights, etc. The finished product is actually more than I expected. He solved the problem with the dirt along the fence while also appropriately sloping everything away from the house. Once surrounded by a jungle of weeds I had no prayer of staying on top of, the patio now feels enveloped by slightly raised beds/berms that highlight the plants and help bring the flowers and butterflies a bit closer. The stepping stone paths to the gate and fire pit area are so easy and comfortable to use, even one of my dogs prefers to walk along them. The plants are beginning to sprout new leaves and it's now my absolute favorite place to be... literally. I couldn't be happier!
"Phenomenal! I could not be happier with George or the work he did. Ive been posting reviews everywhere and saw he didn't have any on Angie's List so I'm leaving this review because he so deserves it. This is the review I left on Yelp, which says it all: Can't say enough good things. George is a true gentleman. I'm in New York and the job was in Philly, so there was a lot of calls back and forth on this job and know I must have driven him nuts! But he always responded, even to texts. He gave a fair estimate, did the job as described - and even went above and beyond when he saw a few other issues. Because I was remote, he sent updates with photos every day. Not only was the job done to perfection, but being able to put your trust into a GC while you're in a different state and be taken care of with absolute courtesy and respect, when you may in fact be making him crazy, is priceless. Like I said, can't say enough great things. Completely and totally happy from start to finish. Would hire him again for just about any repair or remodel in the future.

"I felt so confident in my salesperson’s level of knowledge & level of sincerity that I didn’t bother getting other quotes. This is rare for me.
The salesperson, Dave Shiflette came out for an initial visit & advised me to address external gutter & drainage issues before addressing it from the inside. He advised me to first try to keep water away from my basement before spending money to redirect it away.
This earned my trust- big time!!!
I addressed the above ground issues & still got water in my basement.
It was time to admit defeat, accept that it was due to hydrostatic pressure (water coming in below underneath foundation), and call in the experts!
The crew was great! The foreman updated me during every major step.
Things were clean for the most part. I don’t hold the crew responsible for dirt & minor mud because they had to go to/from mud due to recent rain.
Still- There is room for improvement on the dust area.

There’s a bit of improvement to be left in the dirt/dust area, though. It’s my only gripe. I did have to run my shop vac through furniture & other materials throughout two floors affected. Again- we did have rain beforehand, but we did provide a clear clean driveway access to minimize dirt entry into our home.
On to more important matters…
It rained for 4+ days about 7 days after our install.
We’d normally get about 200- 500 gallons of water in our finished basement during such a storm.
We got zero water puddles above ground during the storm!!!
I did panic because no water made its way to the sump pump well, while we got a few wet spots on the above-ground area. These “wet spots” were just damp areas in the concrete. They weren’t puddles of water.
I panicked & sent messages to our salesperson.
He forwarded to management.
They sent out their most experienced foreman who determined the the system was working (after testing & showing me a live result with a water hose pumping water through the area of concern).
The verdict: concrete takes 30 days to fully cure. The spots haven’t cured yet!
I was so relieved!!!
The system works!
My days of torture in the basement are over!
My instincts to go with the salesperson were right!!!
I’d like to thank Jay for assuring me that they are a family business that cares about clients, cares for their customers & STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT!!!
I give these guys a perfect rating!!!
