"Long Roofing went above and beyond when installing our roof and gutter. The job turned out more difficult than we thought it would be but Long Roofing made me feel comfortable and reassured that they would fix everything. "These roofers worked hard to replace my old flat roof which was directly under a deck. They were carefully not to damage the decking so we could reuse it. The only issue I had, I noticed dozens of cigarette butts all over my road (20 actually). I talked to the boss and hopefully this never happens at another job site. How a worker thought this is ok, I don't know."

Installing a green roof costs between $10 and $30 per square foot. Green roofs cost slightly more than standard roofs, due to the extra materials and installation know-how required. The type of green roof you choose also impacts the cost, with intensive roofing systems costing considerably more than extensive roofs.

Generally, roof flashing is installed under the shingles to create a watertight seal and prevent moisture from seeping in and causing damage. However, the exact placement can depend on the type of flashing. For instance, with step flashing, the shingles and flashing overlap each other, meaning the flashing is technically both over and under the shingles.
