Plumber NH at Paul The Plumber offer 100% Customer Satisfaction! Simply put, we stand behind what we do. All of our repairs are guaranteed for 2 full years parts and labor. We service every make and model.

"Rating: 1/5 Stars Title: Aggressive Upselling and Misleading Technical Advice ? Beware I recently had a technician (Matt M) from Paul The Plumber come out for a simple warranty repair on my water heater?s igniter. While the warranty repair itself was completed, the rest of the visit was a masterclass in aggressive and dishonest upselling. The technician presented me with estimates totaling nearly $1,800 for "Peace of Mind" replacements that were completely unnecessary. The Main Issue: Misleading Code Requirements Most concerning was the technician's attempt to charge me $639 to replace my existing flexible gas lines with hard piping. He claimed that "gas code requires" refitting the water heater to 1/2" iron piping and that my current setup could cause pressure issues if other appliances were running. This is factually incorrect. Standard flexible gas connectors are rated for significantly higher BTU loads than a residential water heater draws (often up to 180,000 BTU, while a tan"

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" was never more true than it is with septic tank care. A small commitment to the care of your system will go a long way to avoiding the hassles associated with septic system failure. Bodwell's Septic Services, LLC uses state-of-the-art equipment and technology, backed up by over 25 years of experience and continuing education. We are licensed and insured for septic system design, rejuvenation, pumping and installation. Call us if you are having problems, need routine service, or would like us to set up an appointment for your system.

"We were closing on the sale of our house and the inspection report required a repair and pumping of our system. The closing hinged on us getting it repaired. I had used Bodwell’s a number of years ago but wasn’t sure if they could squeeze us in since they were so busy. They went above and beyond to get us done. The owner Tim even came out to do the pumping and repair! A few days later we were able to close on the house. Couldn’t have done it without their professionalism. I would definitely recommend them."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You could be smelling sewer gas in your kitchen because of a dry P-trap, clogged vent pipe, or leaking plumbing seals. If you smell a rotten egg odor, check your sink’s P-trap and plumbing connections first. A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out. If you can’t find the source, call a local plumber for expert help.

Ejector pumps can only push sewage 750 feet or less. That’s because their purpose is to move waste from your home to your sewer line—which is a relatively short distance. Grinder pumps can transport sewage further, but they manage lower volumes of waste than ejector pumps (and they don’t work with septic systems).

The best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. However, there are several factors that can affect this recommendation, including the age and condition of your pipes, how often your sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. When in doubt, ask a licensed plumber for their recommendation for your plumbing system.

Costs range from $200 to $600, depending on the severity of the blockage and access difficulty.

Your sewer line can get grimy quickly. To prevent sludge buildup in your sewer line, pour a mixture of 1/3 cup of vinegar and 1/3 cup of baking soda down each drain in your home once a month. After about 30 minutes, flush the drain with hot water.

Some plumbers recommend 3/4 cup of bleach instead to clean any germs and bacteria that may build up in your sewer line. But this won’t break down any active clogs, and it cannot be combined with vinegar, as the mixture will create a toxic, hazardous gas.
