I am a self employed General Contractor with subs who work under me, but also with me. I work on every job and I handle all my affairs. I always work under contract and with estimates. By the hour is exactly that, by the hour! I specialize in all phases of construction. I have been in construction for over 30 years and I am fully insured and registered with the State of NH. I am lead certified and I have a mold remediation company that does all my mold work. I do not charge for travel, as that is something you have to do to get to work. I work every job differently on the billing procedures, as not every job is the same. I work with customers on all phases such as design, paint schemes, window layout, lighting, doors, and general footprints for small additions and garages. I do all my own dirt work straight through to the finish work. And most importantly, when you call my phone, I answer it, day or night!

"Poor Customer Service! Do not buy windows here!!! Customer service is awful! I ordered a horizontal fixed window and they made me a vertical double hung window. My wife brought it in to return and they would not even help her unload the window from her car. The window was months late being made, was clearly not correct, and was too large to fit the rough opening that I provided. They refused to provide me the correct window without incurring over $400 in new charges. They refused to return the $250 deposit that I initially put down. Very disappointed, as I used Beckett?s many times in the past, but NO more!"

Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

Some local utilities or state programs offer rebates or tax incentives for energy-efficient upgrades, including solar screens. Make sure to check with your local energy provider or government agency to see if you qualify for any cost-saving programs. Federal tax credits may also be available for qualifying window and exterior home upgrades.

Installing a basement window generally takes a few hours, assuming there are no structural issues you need to resolve first. If you’re a novice DIYer, the project could take longer; on the flip side, a licensed and trained window contractor may be able to replace multiple basement windows in the time it takes a homeowner to replace one.

Window screens are available in several standard sizes, such as 18 inches by 14 inches or 20 inches by 20 inches. You can also order custom screens to match a non-standard window. Keep in mind that screens don’t necessarily have to fit the entire window, so you may be able to insert a standard-size screen even if your window is slightly larger.

The most affordable way to screen in a porch is to add a base track system to an existing wooden frame. The whole process should cost around $2,000 for supplies, depending on the size of your porch. It’s much pricier to build a screened-in porch or sunroom from scratch—and you’ll probably need to hire a contractor for a project like that.

There are many ways to customize screens, including customizing frame colors and mesh styles to complement your home’s aesthetic.
