"NPC 3 is unbelievably great to work with. We have a mature Japanese Red Maple that is getting a bit too large and had contracted with other tree services it a few years ago. We were neither satisfied with the results nor the cost. While looking for another tree service, we were impressed with NPC 3's reviews & lucky for us, we contacted them. First rate customer service & workmanship, Nick is extremely professional & knowledgeable. He explained the how & whys followed with his recommendation. We are extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend NPC3"

"Kucharski is the best! I had three huge oak trees that were starting to rot at the base and were within striking distance of the house. I contacted three tree services to get a quote. The first two came over, looked at the trees, and gave me a quote. When I told them that I wanted to keep the wood they both said, â No problem, but that doesnâ t change the price.â When Bill Kucharski came over he looked at the trees, walked around the property, and gave me a quote. All three quotes were comparable. When I told him I wanted to keep the wood, he said, â Oh, good. We wonâ t have to charge you for taking it away.â (By the way, I got 5 cords of wood from those trees and thatâ s multiple trips.) Then he said, â If you want us to broadcast the chips from the chipper into the woods we wonâ t have to charge you for hauling those away either.â That did it for me. Sign me up! In a few weeks his sons and their crew came over and took down the trees being very careful not to damage the property and not to let the logs roll down the hill. (Did I mention I live on a hill?) When they were done I was left with beautiful logs with no branches and they cleared away all the sawdust. Everyone was very friendly and clearly very knowledgeable when it came to taking down trees. I ended up hiring them again to take down another tree and I would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"Evan did an excellent job taking 2 trees down for me. It was obvious he is highly experienced just by watching him set up for the job through completion. There is nothing easy about tree removal but, if you do things in the correct order and with accuracy it looks easy and Evan did just that. Thereâ s no doubt I will use Evanâ s services again. Highly recommended, professional and a very nice guy."

Small jobs welcome

"Taylor and his crew did an outstanding job removing the 46 trees that were in danger of falling on our home. Majority of them were dead and diseased. Taylor is very knowledgeable, professional and very reasonably priced. Taylor was here on time every day that he said he would be here. He answered every question we had throughout the process and we had many since we are new home buyers. We are extremely happy that we found him on Angi and would highly recommend him to everyone we know, and hire him again if ever need additional services. Thank you very much for everything. You have put our minds at ease knowing that we are safe from trees falling on our house. Superb job gentlemen!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

A grafted tree is a tree grown by combining two trees. It takes expertise. Branches from grafted trees don’t grow strong roots. Save yourself the time and frustration by having an arborist help you with this advanced project.

You can often tell if a tree is grafted because it will have a noticeable line. Above the line, the bark will look different than it does below the line. It’s most common with fruit trees.

There are four common ways to prune a tree correctly: crown thinning, crown reduction, crown raising, and crown cleaning. The method you choose depends on the purpose of pruning. However, making the correct cuts is a vital part of the process, regardless of your method. Pruning incorrectly can damage or even kill the tree. So, you may want to hire a professional tree-trimming company to tackle the task.

Yes, it’s possible to overwater a newly-planted tree. Daily watering is great for the first few weeks, but it’s important not to go overboard. Excessive watering can lead to various problems, including root rot, fungal diseases, and a lack of root development.

It depends on the type of tree. Typically, late spring on the cusp of winter is ideal for trees about to emerge from dormancy and produce new buds. That said, late fall is ideal for certain deciduous trees prone to bleeding sap. Avoid trimming trees in early spring, when they’re prone to disease.

Tree experts don’t advise against digging through tree roots, but instead encourage caution and consultation with a local arborist to make sure you don’t damage the tree’s structure or interrupt its water or nutrient intake. An arborist can recommend specific practices when digging and help prune the roots or dig a trench for utilities with a tool that can remove soil without touching the tree’s roots.
