"I am happy I chose C.T. Tree Service for my tree removal and trimming project. Conner is very professional and an experienced tree climber. He and Nate did an excellent job. They made every effort to avoid damage to my deck and lawn and did a complete cleanup afterwards. Their pricing was also the best. Highly recommended!"

"Lisa and Nick Curro were very professional and knowledgeable. They set a date and came when they said they would. Three trees were taken down, the site was meticulously cleared and cleaned of any debris. Cost was reasonable. I highly Recommend this tree service company."

"Where do I start. I sent an email to Patrick from his website. He got right back to me and answered my questions. We set up a meeting to come see the trees I needed taken care of. He walked my wife and I through the process pointing out things we did not see. He gave us a quote, told us how many people would be needed and for the job and what was included. We gave him a date when we would like to have the work done and he confirmed it. He emailed us with a confirmation one week before and then showed up on the day he said and the time he said. They did EXACTLY what they promised and in the timeframe he said. They took away all the branches and trunks that were removed. My wife and I can NOT be any happier with the service and price. So FAIR and such a great company to deal with. Don't make a mistake and call someone else, he is the real deal and so nice to work with!"

Small jobs welcome

"Taylor and his crew did an outstanding job removing the 46 trees that were in danger of falling on our home. Majority of them were dead and diseased. Taylor is very knowledgeable, professional and very reasonably priced. Taylor was here on time every day that he said he would be here. He answered every question we had throughout the process and we had many since we are new home buyers. We are extremely happy that we found him on Angi and would highly recommend him to everyone we know, and hire him again if ever need additional services. Thank you very much for everything. You have put our minds at ease knowing that we are safe from trees falling on our house. Superb job gentlemen!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In nature, there are many things that can cause a tree to die, including diseases, insects, and natural disasters such as fires or droughts. Non-natural methods of killing a tree include herbicides or manual intervention, such as cutting it down. Consult a tree removal professional about your options for naturally killing a tree.

The felling notch you make before you make the final cut will determine which way the tree will fall. The cut will be in a wedge or triangle, and the tree will fall from the highest point of the triangle. You can use this, as well as the process described above, to estimate where a tree will fall.

Hiring an arborist or tree surgeon is usually more expensive than a standard tree company, but it is often worth the investment. Arborists have education and certifications that standard companies typically lack, leading to a more professional, expert-level service. Their expertise is particularly valuable for diseased or infested trees, as they can ensure safer removal and help prevent the issue from spreading. Additionally, arborists may be necessary for work near power lines, as uncertified companies are often not permitted to service these trees. If your goal is to preserve the health of your trees, an arborist is the best choice. Their services, such as stump grinding, are also performed with greater expertise to ensure a safe depth that won't cause your lawn to collapse over time.

If the roots are still alive, the dead tree will usually try to put out new shoots. That doesn’t mean the tree will survive or that the dead parts of a tree will come back to life. If parts of the tree have died and turned gray or rotten, nothing will bring them back to life and they need to be safely removed.

It depends on the type of tree. Typically, late spring on the cusp of winter is ideal for trees about to emerge from dormancy and produce new buds. That said, late fall is ideal for certain deciduous trees prone to bleeding sap. Avoid trimming trees in early spring, when they’re prone to disease.
