"The project went very well considering the scope. Selecting the granite slab was enjoyable. Sal addressed a drywall issue when removing one of the bathroom counter tops. Dos: Get an upfront estimate of all work before committing. This includes extra granite, backsplash, etc. I recommend having a plumber unhook all plumbing and a carpenter repair and level the cabinets prior to installation. The better the preparation, the better the job. "
"Drywall repair is both time consuming as well as a dust control nightmare. Bill and his crew handled both situations well. The work areas were sealed off to limit dust from nonwork areas. After three (3) days of mudding, sanding and patching leaves a house in need of a wash. At the end of each day the crew spent what ever time needed to vacuum, wash and clean up the days mess. All areas were primed and painted as agreed, with Bill going back and having areas redone that were not to his standards. Work was completed in a very timely and professional manner also being left with a partial pail of paint for touch ups after we move furniture back."

You should do a little bit of sanding between adding coats of mud. Knock down any ridges or significantly imperfect areas through sanding, which should help you apply the next coat of mud smoothly. If your first coat of mud is pretty smooth after it dries, a quick sanding is all you’ll need. Don’t forget to wipe away any dust after each sanding process.
Drywall mudding can be done in one day if the project is small and the desired effect isn’t too complex. If you need multiple layers of mud, one day may not be realistic. But a single room that requires little more than joint compound on the seams and screws can be done in a day or two.
