"Wow! These guys were great. I had 5 outfits and 7 arborists look at my job and once I talked to Aaron at Hurricane U knew these guys were the crew for me. I had an emergency 70 foot tall hackberry to remove that was in a very difficult location and they stepped up and kicked it. Love this crew. There are none better. Thank you!"

"Tyler and his crew at No Limits Tree Service are the only tree service company I will ever use. Finished the removal of giant elm tree in one day. Clean up was exceptional. Crew was hardworking and courteous. Estimate was lowest in Lincoln☺. Great company!"

"From the time Joshua ( Great guy) came for the estimate, to the time they gave me to do the work, they were spot on for the appointed times. Jake ( The owner) and Marco were a pleasure to work with and their climber Eric was very good, and fast! Would hire them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend to anyone needing tree work done. "Jay and Josh are amazing arborist! Jay remembered that he spoke with me when he previously worked with a local tree company and stop by to ask me if I still needed tree cut down when he started his own company. I referred them to my neighbors who needed some tree trimming also and my neighbors utilized there service were quite please also. Once again I was blown away with there professionalism and, experience, knowledge, and passion for what they do. These guys were efficient and cleaned up everything. They have fair pricing and don't gauche like other companies in the city. I will hire them over and over again."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

No, you cannot plant a tree above a gas line. Tree roots grow and spread over time and can sometimes dent, crack, or penetrate a gas line. Those same roots may also cause accessibility problems for maintenance or repairs. You can generally plant vegetation with non-invasive root systems, low-growing vegetation, and flower beds near gas lines.

Consumers typically do not need to worry about the cost of tree insurance, as professional tree service companies pay for their own coverage. For a tree service business, an average U.S. policy covering about $1 million in general liability costs roughly $40 a month or $500 a year. More extensive policies, providing between $500,000 to $2 million in coverage, can cost between $3,000 and $6,000 annually, depending on the company's size and scope of work. Tree service professionals should speak with an insurance company to determine the right plan for their business.

Many species, especially when well-established, are not fans of transplantation. You’ll need to decide if you want to risk splashing the cash, understanding that transplantation isn’t always successful. Again, this is where hiring a pro is helpful, as they can give you all the essential info you need to ensure your tree stands a fighting chance.

Whether you should remove the roots of a dead tree depends on whether they’re damaging nearby areas. For instance, if the roots continue to grow near sidewalks, driveways, or the foundation of your home, they can cause damage. If you want to plant something else in that spot, removing the roots can make it easier for the new tree or plant to grow.

Although the terms tree trimming and tree pruning are used interchangeably, they are very different types of tree maintenance. Tree trimming involves enhancing the appearance of your tree by removing unruly branches, providing your tree with ample sunlight and nutrients and prevents unsightly overgrowth.

Tree pruning helps keep your trees disease-free. This process removes unhealthy growths, dead branches, and other unhealthy parts of the tree. It’s more common for deciduous and ornamental trees but not so common for evergreen trees. To determine which method you need, discuss it with a tree trimming specialist.
