"MHC Moving made our move an absolute breeze! From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and incredibly careful with our belongings. They arrived on time, worked quickly without sacrificing quality, and handled everything with great care. The crew was friendly, respectful, and went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition. Pricing was fair with no hidden fees, and communication was excellent throughout the process. I highly recommend MHC Moving to anyone looking for a stress-free and reliable moving experience. Thank you for making our move so easy!"

Small jobs welcome

"Top Tier Van Lines has carefully & efficiently moved my mother's house from Kearny to Newark. The move includes also a very heavy and delicate piano. They did a great job! They are highly professional, highly logistical and very organized. They are hard workers. The move was done with zero damage. I highly recommend this moving company."

"So I hired these folks to help me unload a self-move U-Haul. I did help extensively with the unloading. I also moved six times in 10 years. While the workers were extremely nice, they did not arrive with basic moving gear: gloves, sliding pads, or hoist straps. They caused more damage than I'm comfortable with for a move. Furthermore, mid-transaction, the payment method changed, and the phone number became obsolete. I had concerns on the operational side."

Moving questions, answered by experts

Disassembling a shed before you move it could save space and ease the process of loading it onto a moving vehicle. However, you should only disassemble it if it was designed for the possibility of re-building it at your new home. Consult the original process and materials required to build the shed in the first place when considering this option.

Hiring professionals ensures safe transport of belongings, reducing stress with full-service options such as packing, loading, and delivery. Their expertise in logistics and handling provides a smooth relocation experience, meeting all regulatory requirements.

The simplest way to move a shipping container yourself is with a tilt-bed truck. However, you’ll still need to figure out how to get the container on and off the truck.

Moving a washer and dryer can be difficult due to the appliances’ weight and size. If you need to move these appliances up or down stairs, then it will be more challenging. It also depends on the type of dryer you have, as a gas dryer is more complicated to disconnect than an electric dryer. The difficulty of the task also depends on whether you’re easily wheeling the washer and dryer up a moving truck’s loading ramp or lifting them yourself.

Focus on decluttering when downsizing to move cross-country. Selling, donating, or recycling unwanted items early in your moving process is key to your success. If you are on the fence about some items, consider storage options, or you can ship these items separately to lessen your load.
