"I can not say enough good about this company. They did a fabulous job, very polite and do very good work. They even found flaws from the siding job I had done by a different company and they fixed them for me. What can I say these guys care about doing a good job so you have no problems. I would most certainly hire this company again. You canâ t go wrong with this company."

"We had shingles, soffit, and drain pipes installed. I feel we were quoted a fair price. The workers were here exactly when scheduled. The work was well done. All areas were cleaned up when they left. I had a feature I wanted to repaint before I had it installed on my front porch. The workers came back when I called and did a terrifc job of reattaching the trellis."

"Excellent experience from start to finish! The team was professional, reliable, and did outstanding work on roof. Cole went above and beyond communicating with me and my insurance company. The finished result exceeded my expectations. The crew worked hard, kept the my yard clean, and treated my property with respect. They were also extremely quick and efficient. "Very professional, reasonably priced, quality workmanship. Did everything we wanted even though we made a change during the project. We first had them do new windows and siding, working with us on the design, then hired them to remodel a bathroom. LOVE the bathroom -great coordination of colors and materials. We later had them remodel a second bathroom for us. Always courteous as well. We have recommended them several times to other. ?"

Siding questions, answered by experts

To calculate how much siding you need for exterior walls, first measure the height and width of the rectangular walls. For the triangular gable walls, measure the width and then the height from the ground to the tallest gable point.

  • For the rectangular walls, the calculation is: length x height

  • For the triangular gable walls, the calculation is: (length x height) / 2

Once you add these up, include an additional 10% to account for any wastage.

Vinyl is the most common shingle siding due to its rigid PVC design, longevity, affordability, and ease of installation. The next most popular types of shingle siding are fiber cement, which is in the mid-range for prices, and cedar shake, which is the most expensive. Consider the upfront cost, ongoing maintenance costs, and durability in your specific climate before deciding.

Wood siding requires that air can circulate behind it and that water can drain away if necessary. Your home needs a water-restrictive barrier underneath furring strips to achieve the air and water gap.

For homeowners looking for a less expensive alternative to metal siding, the most popular choice is vinyl siding. At just $3 to $12 per square foot, vinyl siding can cost much less than some types of metal siding. Other popular alternatives include fiber cement and engineered wood. Consult a local siding contractor to determine which type of siding will work best for your home.

You should consider a siding replacement material that meets your expectations for budget, durability, and if you want to complete the siding project yourself. Some materials are better than others in certain climates and easier to install for beginners. If you’re unsure which material suits your home, check with a local contractor for guidance.
