We had heard stories of the exhaust fan being noising and of installations where the pipes ran through finished space so we were concerned. But these folks did a great job. They "hid" the pipes and hole in a basement storage room and went to the extra effort of running the vent pipe through a crawl space, into our garage and out the roof. We don't hear a thing and the installation was clean and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and did what we consider a first-rate job.

I readily admit I expect pretty close to perfection in such work. Todd Hottovy laid out the job, and three fellows, plus a subcontractor-electrician, got the job done in a couple of hours. They routed the pipe through the floor and a wall in a basement bedroom closet. I think the closet may have been cleaner after they did the job than beforehand.
There had been a sloppy snow the night before, but they laid down tarps on the floors and steps. There was no mess whatsoever.
It is hard for me to express how satisfied I was with the communication and the work. The prices for all three bids I received were within a few dollars of each other. This happened to be the lowest. Interestingly to me, Todd chose to do the work in a closet, rather than in a small storeroom only a few feet on the other side of the closet, because he preferred the resulting placement of the outside fan and pipe.

Mark is a home inspector who also installs radon mitigation systems. In addition to this he or his crew will fix minor issues as found on a home inspection check list. Mark did a nice job of installing our radon mitigation system. It was cleanly installed and nicely done. Mark accepted responsibility for doing a couple of additional small jobs related to this. One of these jobs was not done by the person he asked to accomplish it. Mark charged me for this work and has still not completed it. I have now moved out of the house and ownership has transferred. Mark should have completed this work and did not.
