They were prompt, thorough, informative, and offered to come out for another treatment if needed at no additional cost. Fortunately, one treatment was all we needed. Since it was so nice to not have to deal with spiders, ants, and other pesky insects last year we decided it was worth it to have a general treatment done this year and will probably continue on an annual basis. Cost was very reasonable for the services provided."

Because scorpions are active during the night, it can be hard to spot them—they are often hiding while you’re up and about. They could be hiding in holes in your walls, behind large appliances, under your bed, in your closet, or even inside your shoes. If you’re on the hunt for scorpions in your home, invest in a UV light, as all scorpions will glow under UV rays.

While possums don’t typically carry rabies, they can have lice, fleas, ticks, and mites. According to the University of California’s Pest Management Program, possums can also carry diseases like leptospirosis, tuberculosis, toxoplasmosis, coccidiosis, and fevers. Possums are also the carriers of a parasite that can pass to horses and cats called Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM).

Identifying the specific animal running on your roof at night can be challenging without direct observation. Common nocturnal roof visitors include raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and rats. Raccoons are bigger and can create heavy thumping sounds. Squirrels are agile and may produce rapid scurrying noises. Opossums tend to move stealthily with less noise. Rats can make scratching or gnawing sounds. To determine the culprit, look for signs like footprints, droppings, or damaged areas near the roof. For accurate identification, consult a pest control professional or set up wildlife cameras near potential entry points.

Mice are very unlikely to go away on their own. As long as there is food and shelter available in your home, they’ll call it their home, too.
