"I like to use local and veteran own services when ever possible. Howe's HVAC services was a good fit for both. When I called Howe's HVAC sevices to give me an estimate on installing a new HVAC unit I talked to the owner Jordan Howe. Jordan stated he could come out that day and give me an estimate.Jordan came, looked at what I wanted done, was very knowledgeable about my split system and what it would cost to replace the unit. Jordan gave me three options all very resonable.I decided on one option and called to set up a time for the installation. This was on Tuesday. Jordan said he could do the installation on Thirsday or Friday. I decided on a date and time.Jordan gave me several updates on the time he would arrive.Jordan showed up on the agreed time and removed the old unit and air handler and replaced the new unit and air handler with no problems or extra costs.I am very happy with the work that was done. I would recommend Howe's HVAC services to anyone that needs quality work."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes. While cellar spiders can seem creepy or scary, they’re essential to the ecosystem. They feed on smaller insects in your home or elsewhere, keeping those populations in check. They’re also food for birds and small animals, so if you let a cellar spider live and simply transport it outside your house, you’re letting the natural cycle continue undisturbed.

Even if you have extreme ophidiophobia (fear of snakes), don’t try to shoot or kill them with a shovel. Besides being pretty cruel, killing snakes in most states is illegal unless your life is at risk and many species are protected.

Plus, you're putting yourself at greater risk using these techniques if it goes wrong and the now-angry snake is venomous.

They can have a deterrent effect on birds to some extent. The reflective surfaces of these objects, such as aluminum foil strips, CDs, or reflective tape, create flashes of light and movement that can startle or confuse birds temporarily. However, some birds can become accustomed to these visual disturbances over time and might adapt their behavior accordingly. For a more sustained solution, combining shiny objects with other deterrent methods shared here is often beneficial for creating a more comprehensive and effective strategy for bird control.

Maintaining a clean environment can deter spiders to a certain extent by removing clutter and reducing the number of insects they prey on. Spiders tend to favor secluded spots to spin their webs and hunt for prey, and regular cleaning practices such as dusting, vacuuming, and decluttering can disrupt these ideal conditions. Despite these preventive measures, some spider species are highly adaptable and may still infiltrate your home despite your best efforts to maintain a tidy living space.

It’s debatable, but most will say either termites or bed bugs are the hardest to remove. When dealing with termites, you must find the central nest (as opposed to satellite nests) and exterminate the queen and all potential queens, which often takes the work of a specialist. Bed bugs, meanwhile, are incredibly hardy, good at hiding, and resistant to pesticides, so it takes very careful, very thorough work to get rid of them permanently.
