"Wow! Bigfoot did an excellent job of getting rid of the many squirrels in our attic. They set up a treatment plan with us (and our tenant) and they followed it precisely. Their prices are reasonable and they themselves are very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again. Cory (our technician) was just great."

NWC Services offers trapping & removal of problem animals around homes & businesses. We also do minor home repairs to prevent future problems once the immediate problem is fixed. State certified as an Animal Damage Control Agent since 2003. A lifelong resident of WNC, a US Army vet, with over 40 yrs in one local BSA Troop. We service all of WNC with our focus upon the Asheville, Hendersonville, Rutherfordton, Tryon, Brevard, & surrounding communities within our area. We follow all local laws & state laws concerning wildlife. We pride ourselves in finding ways to allow people to coexist with wildlife while protecting their homes. We deal in all major wildlife issues as allowed by the state with just a few exceptions. We do not control moles or voles. Nor do we use chemicals to kill any wildlife. We do not do rats or mice. Please contact a pest control company for that type of service. Big game animals such as Deer, Bear, & Turkeys are only dealt with upon the issuance of a state permit to allow us to do so. All other wildlife is dealt with under a different permit. Quite often we are able to help people figure out a way to live with the local wildlife without any trapping or removal. Great guy who truly has a willingness to help people."

In certain cases, yes, the bees may go away on their own, but it’s a risk. Some bee types, such as bumblebees, create seasonal nests and then die out as their new queens seek homes elsewhere. But in most cases, you can’t count on the bees leaving naturally. It’s also not a great idea to leave openings in your walls any longer than you have to, which can attract other pests or cause moisture damage.

Some species of bees (not to mention hornets) are aggressive and dangerous to have in your walls. If they swarm in anger or defense, they could badly hurt people in your home. Other species of bees are largely harmless and many people live in close proximity to them.

Either way, bees making hives in your walls usually causes damage. It can contribute to moisture problems, and attract other pests. Those problems get even worse if honeycombs build up. So we strongly suggest you find a way to keep bees from taking up permanent residence.

If you seal bees in a wall and don’t leave them any way to escape, they may make one of their own. Otherwise, they’ll die inside the wall, and that creates many additional problems. It takes a long time, and the bees will start rotting, which can make your home smell miserable. All the dead bees and any honeycombs they may have created will also attract a number of bugs or other pests to your home. That’s why we suggest removing the bees entirely, and not trying to seal them away.

Bees are relocated to safe habitats, ensuring their continued role in pollination without risk to your home.

DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself. 

Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.
