Nuisance Wildlife Control
About us
NWC Services offers trapping & removal of problem animals around homes & businesses. We also do minor home repairs to prevent future problems once the immediate problem is fixed. State certified as an Animal Damage Control Agent since 2003. A lifelong resident of WNC, a US Army vet, with over 40 yrs in one local BSA Troop. We service all of WNC with our focus upon the Asheville, Hendersonville, Rutherfordton, Tryon, Brevard, & surrounding communities within our area. We follow all local laws & state laws concerning wildlife. We pride ourselves in finding ways to allow people to coexist with wildlife while protecting their homes. We deal in all major wildlife issues as allowed by the state with just a few exceptions. We do not control moles or voles. Nor do we use chemicals to kill any wildlife. We do not do rats or mice. Please contact a pest control company for that type of service. Big game animals such as Deer, Bear, & Turkeys are only dealt with upon the issuance of a state permit to allow us to do so. All other wildlife is dealt with under a different permit. Quite often we are able to help people figure out a way to live with the local wildlife without any trapping or removal. Let us help you solve your nuisance wildlife problems.

I am no expert but the assessment seemed superficial and the follow up clearly poor.
"I made several recommendations of places to seal. I was not hired to do the repairs, & have no knowledge of who did them. My quote for the repairs would have covered any places I may have missed in my initial inspection. Animals such as bats & squirrels must leave a home to search for food. Internal attic inspections are not good indicators of activity as animals can conceal their dens inside walls etc. The request for an internal attic inspection was made after I had completed my inspection. I felt an internal attic inspection was unnecessary. Yet, I did tell the customer I would come back when in their area. They live in an out of the way spot that I rarely go to. I have not had another call in their area since I was at their home. To make a special trip to re-inspect costs me time & money. Plus, a return trip to "peek" into the attic would not have revealed a squirrel issue that has recently appeared. Squirrels make nests in walls, under insulation etc. The customer felt my quote for the repairs was too high, and didn't hire me for the work. I am not responsible for anybody else's work, nor can I prevent a problem 6 months after someone else does any repairs. All too often, homeowners think they can save money by hiring someone without wildlife knowledge to do repairs. This costs more in the long-run, as I have to re-do repairs, and fix things properly. The initial complaint was about bats, and now the problem is squirrels. If I had done the repairs,,, I would have prevented either species from being able to enter the home. To hold me responsible for someone else's work, and for a different animal issue 6 months after my initial inspection to me would seem that a customer is wanting my work for free. I stand behind my work, and since I was not hired to do this job, I feel that the rating is inappropiate. As for the follow-up, if I do get a call in their area,, I will call to see if they are available to have me "peek" in the attic. However, in my professional opinion, getting into an attic will not show me anything other than the possibility of sign where an animal has been. Animals want their dens to be safe & secure. Normally that means not easily found or accessed. To return to inspect for a squirrel issue would require a complete re-inspection which costs money. About 10%-20% of my business comes from doing repair work after a non-professional attempts repairs to prevent animal issues that have failed."
