"Five Stone Services were great! Blake showed up right on time! Got my job done in a very timely manner, with in an hour. Blake was great to work with, he answered all of my questions, he had a great personality and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend Five Stone Services for your plumbing needs. I loved the fact that they contacted me right away after I listed my job with Angi. I plan on contacting Five Stone Services again when its time for a new water heater. I definitely will ask for Blake who gave excellent customer service! Thanks Blake for a job well done! Pat C."

"We highly recommend James Cress Jr. Water Pump and Well Co. Very prompt response time, came to the house to evaluate our needs (well repair) and explained everything in detail that would be done & cost. The job was done almost immediately (longest wait was getting permits from county) Mr. Cress and his crew were very professional, cleaned the work area nicely and best of all, he's very affordable and does a wonderful job."

"They were very professional and thorough. Not only did they make a thorough analysis of potential causes from the water leak under the master bathroom, but also discovered a leak under the guest bathroom as well. They provided excellent next steps for how to approach both problems since structural damage was involved. Price was very competitive. Would definitely use again.

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

No. Well pump replacement is not recommended as a DIY project, particularly if you have a deep well and a submersible pump. Plumbing and electricity are best left to the pros, especially when something like your well pump includes both. Even when troubleshooting your pump, it pays to have a partner standing by for your assistance and safety.

Yes, professionals can replace worn-out motors to restore efficient airflow.

If your water pump fails, the first step is to turn off the power to the pump to prevent any further damage. Check for common issues such as clogs, electrical problems, or mechanical failures. If you cannot identify the problem, contact a professional who specializes in pump repairs. Prompt action can help minimize damage and repair costs.

Regular checks of pressure tanks, testing water quality, and cleaning intake screens.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends testing your well at least once a year to check for bacteria and contaminants. If you live in an area prone to flooding, runoff, or any other environmental concerns, it can be a good idea to check two to three times per year.
