"We were given a quote, but the price continued to go up while they were working, twice to be exact. It went up a total of almost $3000 more. The first rise in cost was only $900 because we wanted to add a drip edge. Then, once the entire metal roof was removed, they came to tell us that they need an additional $1900 to buy plywood for the shingles to go on. We were under the impression that that was included in the quote we were given since they walked on the metal roof and evaluated it before giving us the quote to change our metal roof to a shingled roof. We also asked about removing the cost of the drip edge that we originally asked to add when this additional $1900 was “needed.” But then they stated they did not recommend taking this off. This was confusing to me because they gave me a quote without the drip edge, but when I asked if the price included this, they stated it would be an additional $900. The work was good and completed in a timely manner. They were kind workers, but we did not give them a 5 star because of the extreme additional prices that were added on."
