"I would strongly recommend this business for any TV antenna installation or replacement project. I worked with Carlos Taylor with Complete Automated Technology. He arrived late but gave plenty of advance notice. Not only did he replace the antenna, but he also ran an entirely new line of coax cable into my existing set up. He worked with my existing PVC pipe and did not upsell me until he knew I was satisfied with the job. He also helped me lock in a weak station and made it flexible enough to rotate the antenna in multiple directions to receive signals from other markets, but I also have the option to lock it into position in the event of bad weather. This is a well-built antenna that captures signals from 80 miles away from the viewing location. Iâ m thoroughly satisfied with the attention to detail and high-level of workmanship from Carlos and his company."

"Installation went very well. The tech was knowledgeable and professional. Problem was when I received my cc bill. I was billed the $129 Angie's List fee which was to include TV wall mount (mount not include), connect all necessary video and basic audio, neatly dress wires, configure peripheral devices, and conceal in-wall wires. And I was billed $140.49 from HELLOTECH. I'm still trying to get the $140.49 charge reversed."

"We had an installer perform an install in Gastonia and the hardware did not arrive so we hired Scott to complete the project, he went above and beyond. He took the initiative to fix problems that the electrician and our previous installer had made. He went and searched for a mount himself around town that would fit the TV properly. He not only saved my business's reputation but he also made our client very happy. I will be using him again in the Charlotte/Winston - Salem Area."

Small jobs welcome

"Robert was very quick and thorough in response to my request for service and came right out to give an estimate. After trying many other handyman businesses and subcontractors and getting no response due to the small nature of this ceiling drywall job... , it was so nice to call and have the job done within one week—Even with multiple trips required. We will definitely call him again. We were pleased with homeadvisor too as it was our first time using a national service like that."

Tv Antenna Installation questions, answered by experts

Coax cable connects to your television, modem, or cable box. Look for a female coax connection on these devices. Your coax cable will connect to any of these. The other end of the wire runs to the service connection coming into the house.

Before your TV antenna stops working, there are a few ways to tell it’s starting to break. Some common signs that your antenna needs repair include:

  • A repetitive “no signal” issue

  • A redundant “searching” issue

  • Increased signal issues during a cloudy or rainy day

  • A sudden drop in signal strength, regardless of the weather

If you’re experiencing these problems, you’ll want to ensure that your cables are still in good shape and have not deteriorated. In addition, check to make sure that your cables are firmly in place at the wall outlet. Finally, check the position of your antenna to ensure there are no obstructions in its path. If you’ve checked your antenna thoroughly and are still having these problems, a repair is most likely needed by an antenna technician.

Signal loss, loose mounts, cable damage, and weather-related wear often require repair.

If you’re having problems with poor reception, here are some simple tips that may help improve the signal and picture quality.

  • Consider the position of the antenna: Could it be higher, is it secure, or are nearby obstructions interfering with the signal? For a directional antenna, you may need to reposition it in the direction of the broadcast tower.

  • Move any metallic objects: Metal can interfere or block reception, so if you have stainless steel objects or the antenna is near a wrought-iron fence, this could be a problem. Try to keep the antenna at least six feet away from metal objects..

  • Cable length: An overly long cable can reduce signal strength. If you don’t need as much cable as you are using, it may be better to exchange it for a shorter one.

Most repairs take 1-4 hours, but complex signal issues may require further troubleshooting.
