"After having a horrific experience with a previous pool person I found shark pools. Owner called me immediately upon my inquiry and came out to assess the situation asap. Joe knew exactly what would be needed and put my pool back together with a new beautiful liner. I’m beyond pleased!! I’m so thrilled I found them!!"

"Shea was just fantastic! I couldn't be happier with the service we received from him. He was extremely reasonable and knew what he was doing! He made sure that we were aware of any problems and addressed them and also knew what we wanted done. I would highly recommend him for anything hot tub or spa. "He did a lot of work for us this summer like replacing a pump. We?ve never had a problem with him and I think his prices are very good. He comes when he says he will and he brings the parts so you never have to wait. When he closed our pool we were out of chemicals so he charged a little extra. I highly recommend him."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Algae-related green hot tub water is generally safe to use, as algae aren't usually harmful to your health. However, if the conditions in the hot tub are hospitable to algae growth, they may also be hospitable to the growth of other types of microorganisms, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, bacteria that can cause hot tub rash, or Legionella bacteria, which can cause respiratory illness.

Using bubble bath, bath oils, bath salts, or moisturizing products that contain butters or oils can damage your jetted tub. Because of the water pump and jet mechanism, you need to be more selective with products for a jetted tub than you would for a traditional bathtub in order to keep it functioning properly and avoid expensive repairs. These products also leave residue that can feed mildew and mold, so it’s best to avoid them.

Yes, they provide full-service inspections, identifying and resolving any potential equipment problems.

Yes, but only if it is a freshwater tub (not saltwater) and if you make sure the chlorine and bromine levels are below 1 ppm.

If you want to have a chemical-free spa, or if you are wondering how to keep your hot tub clean naturally, there are several options. Some individuals choose to run their hot tub without treatment at all and simply clean it more often (although you risk bacteria, fungi, and algae growth if you take this route); others use natural products like vinegar or Borax. Ozone, ultraviolet light, and electrolysis systems are also eco-friendly ways to have a clean hot tub without chemicals. Saltwater hot tubs are popular with people who are sensitive to chlorine, bromine, and other traditional hot tub chemicals.
