"Erick called to see if he could arrive a few hours early and showed up within a couple of minutes of when he then said he would arrive. "A job well done despite the challenges of reach and access. The exhaust fan was 14 feet high and Manny had to get to it from the attic as well as from the bathroom to replace it. The new housing was a bit larger so it involved cutting a bit of the ceiling as well. All was accomplished very neatly in about two hours. Will definitely recommend and hire again!!!"

"Everything went well. They came in and removed the wall paper and did all their prep work on one day then came back the next day and completed the paint job. There were a few paint spots on the ceiling and the boarders, but I guess that's to be expected if you do not tape off the area."

"After setting a start date Mr. Hargrove failed to show up and sent someone who we never met to pick up the installment pay. He was not knowledgeable about the job he was contracted to do. The railings were not installed correctly in fact it was a safety issue - if leaned on one could possibly knock it over. Called several times requesting him to repair, made false promises. To correct the problem we hired someone else to correct the job.

You should generally avoid using WD-40 on a ceiling fan. While it might quiet a squeak temporarily, it is primarily an anti-corrosion and water displacement agent, not a true lubricant, and can damage the fan's components over time. Most modern ceiling fans have sealed bearings and do not require oiling, so a squeak may indicate another issue. For fans that do require lubrication, it is better to use a light machine oil, 30-weight motor oil, or a lubricant specifically designed for ceiling fans.

While it may seem like it makes sense to put a fan in the attic to cool it down, it won’t be as effective as installing attic fans. Ventilation installed near the peak of the roof, whether passive (just allowing heat to escape) or active (drawing the air up and out) will be more effective at cooling the attic.

Some disadvantages of a blower cooler—a type of cooling device sometimes known as a swamp cooler—are its increased energy demand and its higher noise level. Blowers require more energy to run because they push air out at a higher pressure. This also means a blower cooler can be louder than a fan. Blower coolers are also not recommended for humid areas because humidity limits their cooling potential.

While ceiling fans shouldn’t get loose over time, they still can—especially if they’re installed incorrectly. A wobbling or tilted ceiling fan can shift the screws out of place, causing it to loosen and become a fall risk. It’s important to tighten screws and balance blades as soon as you notice that they’re misaligned or uneven to prevent the ceiling fan from loosening further and becoming a hazard.

If your ceiling fan is humming, that's usually a sign of an electrical issue. A low-pitched grinding sound could be caused by the motor or a lack of lubrication in the bearings, but a true humming sound will be caused by a failing capacitor or faulty wiring.
