"i have used Shane services for close to a decade now and have never been disappointed with him or his work. He Built my 2nd story back deck, cut out and framed an interior wall window, installed glass panels in my kitchen cabinents, cleaned and installed gutter guards on my rain gutters. he has also installed outdoor flood lights and 3 way electrical outdoor light switches and outdoor outlet. He has also installed ceiling fans and a chandelier in the foyer with a cathedral ceiling. Shane has installed a bathroom toilet and kitchen sink. in fact he stayed until 9:30 pm that night to finish the job right. he also stayed until 10pm one other night in the pouring rain on the roof fixing a leak. He always goes above and beyond what you would expect. The bridge you see in his photo album is the bridge he built for me in the back yard and I have been extremely happy with his craftsmanship not only with the bridge but with everything he has done for me. I will never call for another contractor. Shane is reliable, trustworthy, talented and hard working. I never let anyone in my house unless I'm home except for Shane. "Jonathan Saylor was on time,respectfully knocking on my door, announcing arriving and departing. He was kind and easygoing. He kept me updated on progress. Asked my opinions, never assuming. "Junior Green and his Clean Hands Painting and Construction crew did an excellent job saving our screened in porch. We had a contractor who had spent 11 months (yes 11 months) installing a screened in porch and he was simply not able to finish the job. We became fed up and found Junior and he was promptly out to review the work and recommend how to fix it. He was able to correct all of the issues with standard construction practices that our last contractor ignored. He made sure that the screened porch was redesigned to protect against water and last for the long term without issues every few years from water damage. In addition to his knowledge of good construction practice he also made our porch look beautiful. Hats off to Junior and his crew for amazing construction work as well as stepping in and redesigning our porch for beauty and longevity. --Doug Young"

"The contractor took time to come to my home and spend ~30 min to look at the job, but never responded with an estimate.  Also never responded after multiple attempts to contact them about when an estimate would be available, well over a month after the initial visit.  If you are too busy to provide services, don't waste my time coming out in the first place, please.

-UPDATE: The company contacted us and apologized.  The individual that came out apparently does not work there anymore.  I would be OK to give them a second chance, as they seem to have good reviews.

"I recently bought a 50+ year old home that had been empty for a while and was fairly neglected.  I had a long project list, and wanted one contractor to run the whole thing.  I had no problem with them sub-contracting out as needed, but I did not want to manage it myself.  So I took estimates from many "general contractors" and one from Pro Plumbing.  They don't advertise it, but Thad Hedrick IS a general contractor.  They got the bid.  It was not the money that won it, though they were in the same general ballpark as the others.  One of the things I wanted done was replacing my ancient electric cook top with a gas cook top, which would require a new gas line. Thad was the only contractor who mentioned that he would test the gas pressure to see if I needed a new meter - without sufficient pressure, I might not get what I needed with more than one gas appliance running at the same time.  That impressed me.  I don't know anything about gas, but with water, it makes sense that the more hoses you take off the same source, the less water output you get from each.
Thad and his crew did all of the plumbing work, including installing a new soaking tub, new drain pipe, new gas lines, new utility sink and faucet, and new drain for the washing machine.  They also installed the cook top, and modified the wall cabinet when they removed the old oven, so both an oven and a microwave would fit in that space (this required wood work, and it turns out that Thad is also a fine carpenter).  They installed a range hood, discovered that the existing duct went straight into the attic (OH NO), and gave me a new duct.
I had all the windows replaced, and eventually had the soffits covered with vinyl, vinyl siding on the sunroom, and a new sliding door installed (add-ons to the original plans).  I had insulation installed under the floor, and a new vapor barrier installed.  I had new linoleum installed in the laundry room.  There was electrical work involved with installing the stove, the new oven, and a new fireplace insert (and I had new lights installed on the sunroom soffits, with one of them in a new location).  I had the whole house air conditioner replaced, and a mini-split installed in the sunroom.  Thad's office organized all of the contractors involved, scheduling them, chasing after them, and generally making sure that the job got done.  There were days when I had 4 or 5 trucks out front and contractors all over the place from various companies.
There were times during the project when I knew that something needed to be done, but I did not know what I wanted to do.  For example, I'd hoped to keep the existing tile in the bathroom when we took out the tub, but it was not possible, so I needed an alternative.  When we took out the A/C wall/window unit, I had a hole to fill and no way to match the existing finishes; I needed an idea.  Thad would talk it over with me, and usually had several options to suggest, and once I made a decision, implemented it - and all of it turned out better than I had hoped.
There were also times when I decided I *might* want an add-on, and I would tell Thad what I was considering, and he would get options and costs for me, so I could decide which way I wanted to go.  In that way, the replacement windows turned into full vinyl on all exterior non-brick surfaces and I now have a maintenance free home - with new shutters too!
If I had any questions or concerns, I called Anita at the office and she just handled it.  If a sub-contractor didn't show up, or I didn't like the way something was done, or didn't understand what was done, I called Anita and she took care of it.  I have never seen the woman, but there were days I spoke to her several times - when this massive project was completed, I sent her flowers.
All of it cost a lot, but... given all that I had done, it cost much less than I'd expected.
In addition, I simply enjoyed having Thad and Travis around - they are pleasant to be with, and seemed to be as careful with my home as they would be with their own.  I never had a huge mess left around to clean after they had been working here, and they were careful that we all were on the same page before they started doing anything.
I'm impressed with Thad's expertise and with his bevy of sub-contractors.  The job got done with much less disruption than I expected.  I even got a new landscape manager out of it - I was so impressed with Thad and his familiarity with the local contractors I asked if he could recommend someone better than the mow-and-blow types I'd been using and he did - that looks like it will be a long relationship and the yard is going to be beautiful.
I do have additional projects in mind, and Thad and Pro Plumbing will be the first ones I call.
