"Chris called within 20 minutes of requesting service and arrived within 10 minutes. Not only did he mow, but he weed whacked/trimmed around walkway, driveway, house, tree, etc. If this heat wave continues, will call again. Very nice guy!!"

"The landscaping team was punctual and worked for most of the day on the project. Due to the slope of our property and the recent rain, the team had to do all of the work by hand. They took extreme care and had meticulous detail with the hedges that were moved to ensure they were evenly spaced and filled the new space most effectively. The underground drainage system was implemented exactly as I had requested to mitigate pooling from rain storms. All of the work was reviewed with me and any required modification if they didn't meet my satisfaction was guaranteed. Vin and his staff have always been prompt to respond to any requests and have done a fantastic job working with us to get our property and grass looking the way I want it to. We have been using Vin landscaping for over a year now to treat our yard and repair the grass that was very nutrient deficient and mostly weeds due to lack of care from the previous owners. Will definitely continue to utilize their services as they have great rates and do a terrific job."

It’s not legal to intentionally damage a neighbor’s tree. Even if the roots of a tree encroach into your yard, if you damage or kill a tree that belongs to your neighbor, you can be held liable for the damage in most cases. Since herbicides can spread through the tree, causing damage to the whole tree and not just the roots that are on your side of the property line, you shouldn’t poison your neighbor’s tree. The other downside to this method is that if the tree dies, it can fall onto your property and cause more damage, so herbicides are best avoided in this circumstance.

Jet washing can wash away weeds without bending or kneeling to pull them. However, the results will likely be fleeting because the weeds will return unless you use a stronger method that takes them out at the root. Use a jet washer for short-term weed removal, but use a stronger method if you want to get rid of weeds for good.

Johnsongrass and crabgrass are invasive weeds that can overtake your lawn. Crabgrass is a low-growing grass most often seen in lawns, flower beds, and vegetable gardens. While you may find Johnsongrass growing in your lawn, it will also grow in pastures, crop fields, and the edge of the road. Johnsongrass is much coarser than crabgrass. If left alone, Johnsongrass can grow up to 8 feet tall.

Landscaping fabric can only help to prevent weed growth in the short term. It's not an ideal long-term solution because dirt will eventually make its way on top of it, causing weeds to sprout. These fabrics can also leave microplastics in the environment for many, many years, so pulling weeds using one of the methods in this guide as soon as you see them is a better long-term prevention strategy.

Whether a one-time spray treatment to control mosquitoes is enough depends on multiple factors. Often, you’ll notice a big difference after one application. However, mosquitoes are likely to return if you don't reduce attractive standing water habitats. This usually takes four to eight weeks if it’s still prime mosquito season.
