"Hard working crew. What would have taken an average crew of 4, 2 weeks to finish, these guys did in 5 days. Owner came within an hour to give estimate. I added a couple of small jobs after the estimate and they charged no extra. These guys know exterior and interior restoration. Our log home hadn’t been treated in over 10 years but no looks better than ever. Project Foreman presented me with any issues as he found them and gave me options. My neighbors have now hired them. "Maravilla Services did an outstanding job painting all the walls, ceiling and trim in my condo in Boone, NC. This job was done late last summer, but I still wanted to let everyone know that this was the best experience I've ever had from any painters before. They were very friendly, honest, and were very interested in making sure the job was done exactly to my specifications. The job was done quickly, and with excellent quality. They also cleaned up very well when finished. I would definitely use them again, and I highly recommend them!"

Grout Tile Cleaners questions, answered by experts

The most effective method uses specialized cleaning solutions and equipment to loosen dirt and stains, followed by high-pressure rinsing and steam cleaning to sanitize and restore the tile and grout's original appearance.

New grout applied over old grout typically doesn’t last as long as grout applied to a clean, prepared surface. If you run into problems like your new grout not adhering well to the old grout, you may see your new grout chipping or cracking within just a few months. For the best longevity, it’s recommended to remove old grout before applying new grout.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

Be sure to check the grout you use before you apply the grout sealer. Sometimes, grout doesn’t actually need sealer at all.

For the rest, apply one thin coat, clean up any excess mess, and let it sit for at least a full day. After a day has passed, go ahead and apply a second thin coat. Again, let that dry for another 24 hours.

Sanded grout contains particles of sand, making the grout more resistant to cracking. This durability makes sanded grout well suited for tile floors. It is also less prone to thinning out and forming bubbles when it cures, so you can spread it into larger joints.

Unsanded grout is much smoother, so you will want to use it when working with tile made from glass or polished stone. Any sand could leave scratches on the tile’s surface. The lack of sand also makes unsanded grout thinner, making it best for tile joints that are less than one-eighth-inch thick.
