Small jobs welcome

"Hands on Granite is an excellent company to handle your granite countertops. We had an extra piece of granite behind our old range that caused issues with the new range fitting. Tomas was prompt and removed the extra granite piece so that our new range fits. He also fixed a loose counter and cabinet that was separating from the wall. I highly recommend Hands on Granite for if your granite countertops needs."

"The men who installed the Granite were not only polite, but very good and they cleaned up after themselves. The work was excellent, the price seemed reasonable and when they left, there was NO mess. Oscar, from KJ Natural Stone, took good care of me. I would certainly use them again!"

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts

In many cases, it’s worth it to restore stone. Stone restoration generally costs less than replacing the stone entirely, helping to save on the cost of your project while still giving your home’s stone a polished appearance. However, if your stone is very cracked or crumbling to the point of compromising the structural integrity of your home, you may want to consider replacing it. Stone flooring costs range from $6 to $20 per square foot on average.

You can’t change the color of the stone, but you can update granite countertops without replacing them by painting them. Because granite is a porous material, you’ll want to seal them first before painting them so that the paint doesn’t hurt the surface. This is important because you don’t want to devalue your counters by damaging the original surface; even if you don’t like the color now, you or a new homeowner may want to remove the paint someday and return them to their original color. You can also cover them with

To properly maintain natural stone surfaces, use pH-neutral cleaners for regular cleaning and avoid acidic substances that can cause damage or etching. It is also important to reseal the surfaces periodically, especially for porous stones, to protect the finish, maintain appearance, and ensure longevity.

The time required for stone restoration or polishing can range from a few hours to several days. Most standard jobs are completed in 4-8 hours. The final duration depends on factors like the size of the area, the condition of the stone, and accessibility. Larger areas or surfaces with heavy damage may require multiple sessions to complete.

Costs depend on stone type, surface condition, labor, and whether sealing or deep cleaning is required.
