"A very professional organization from start to finish. They removed 24 very large and very tall pine trees from my cramped back yard in one day. Their price was well below all my five other estimates. They were meticulous in cleaning up after job completion. After they left, it was difficult to tell theyâ d ever been here - except for the missing 24 trees. Cardona Tree Service does business the way business used to be done: They do what they contract to do, they arrive on time, they clean up after the job, and they charge a fair price. I give Cardona Tree Service my highest possible recommendation."

"Does real good work. I think he put more chemicals down than my previous lawn man getting a good coverage to my lawn. I would recommend him to friends and family for his services."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Pruning trees during the summer can be a bad idea because the new growth will take place during the hottest months of the year, which can stress your tree out. Similarly, pruning during the early fall can be a bad idea, too, because you’d be stimulating new growth when most trees are aiming to go dormant.

Pruning recommendations will vary by the type of tree, but generally, waiting until winter to prune your trees is a good idea.

How often and long you should water a tree depends on the species and if it is mature or newly planted. The amount of water is also based on the tree's size. A good rule of thumb is approximately 5 gallons per inch of the trunk's diameter.

Adjusting watering to the recommended suggestions for the tree type and weather conditions is vital. For instance, watering trees during a drought is necessary, and you may need to water more frequently than usual.

Ideally, you’ll have a good enough relationship with your neighbors that you can kindly mention this task in regular conversation. However, every neighbor (and neighborhood) is different. Your best bet will always be to ask directly and nicely, offering to contribute to the tree trimming efforts if you’d like. However, if you are bothered by the tree and your neighbor is unwilling to cut it, you can involve the help of the homeowners’ association or local authorities, if applicable.

It could be anywhere from weeks to years for a dead tree to fall. A dead tree falls based on its weight, how it leans, the state of its roots, the state of decay, and what local windstorms are like, among other factors. Since it’s hard to predict the fall’s timing, it’s important to cut down a dead tree quickly and avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Planting a palm tree close to your home can provide shade while elevating the beauty of your yard. However, there are a few safety concerns to consider before doing so. You’ll want to opt for a smaller tree with a non-invasive root system. Select a species that won’t grow too tall and choose a planting location that won’t damage your home.
