"My home has a chimney that was unsafe to use (cracked masonry liner). I dreaded the time and cost of a tear down and replacement. I contacted "Shamrock Chimney" and scheduled an appointment with their lead technician "Tony". He suggested a less costly and safer alternative (steel liner and a resealing of the outer brickwork. The work was performed over a two-day period. I am fully satisfied with the results. One thing I really apricate is the communication during the project. The "front office" would let me know by either phone or email when the project would start, and then Tony and would give me updates. All and all the whole process went smoothly. Also, this was my first time with "Angi", I hope to use their services again in the future."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"The guys that came to my house were Jerry and Ricky. They were really easy-going, covered their shoes before they came into my house and were really nice to dogs that were barking like crazy. They were really kind to my little boy that seemed to talk them to death.
After the repair, they came back out two times to make sure that everything was still working fine, at no charge.
I would definitely use them again.

"I could not be any happier with my entire experience, I am SO happy I contacted Metal Works.
I first contacted a competitor of Metal Works looking for a quote, and I was so discouraged by the price I almost didn't look any further. But I really wanted a metal roof, so I decided to call around to 3 more companies, and ended up getting quotes from 2 of them. I found that my money went so much further at Metal Works. I got a much better quality roof, at a lower price than other companies offered me.
Other companies were offering me a 29 gauge, exposed fastener roof, with no ridge-vent, for 10k-15k
Metal Works gave me a 26 gauge, hidden fastener roof, with a ridge vent, for just under 9k
With the price and features and the positive feedback here at Angie's List, this was a no brainer. The job started last Thursday and they finished the next day on Friday evening (ahead of schedule). The roof looks FANTASTIC! The gutters were installed the next day and look really sharp with the metal roof.
Metal Works went the extra mile by painting the misc vents (for bathroom/kitchen ventilation) to match the roof. They also took care to properly integrate where the chimney meets the roof to avoid any water damage. This is something that none of the other companies even mentioned to me. Also, unlike other companies who only showed me samples of colors, David was able to give me addresses where I could see roof colors in person on an actual house. This really helped us out a lot because we were struggling between 3 different colors.
David has been a pleasure to work with the whole way through, and his crew was very friendly, professional, and hard working. They also did a great job of cleaning up when they finished for the day, and very thoroughly cleaning everything when the job was done."

Exceptional Business. Quality work ? Yes.  Quality Service ? Yes.  Quality workers - Yes.

I agree with all the other positive comments and definitely recommend them without hesitation.  They care about the quality of their work - they have a 10 year warranty on their workmanship.

Came out to look at my roof and were very informative.   They spent time pointing out my neighbors house, the shortcuts their roofer had made and why that roof may not last over time / through a hurricane.

They replaced my roof, replaced a lot of the damaged wood under the old shingles. Took down my unused oil burner chimney to below the roof line and roofed over it. Took pictures of the work in progress and gave me them when finished.  Everything happened on time, and cleaned up afterwards.

I also had them replace my windows. That also went smoothly. All thier workers were great, very polite and answered any questions I had.  When it was discovered that the window manufacturer had sent one window that was the wrong style, they put in a temporary window. Came back 2 weeks later and installed the correct one with out any issue.

They will be my first point of contact for future work on the house.

So happy I found someone who I can trust to do a job RIGHT.

Chimney Repair questions, answered by experts

To reinstall a sliding drawer, align the tracks on both sides of the drawer with the corresponding grooves in the cabinet. Tilt the front of the drawer upward and carefully slide it into place, ensuring that the wheels or rollers on the drawer fit securely into the tracks. Gently push the drawer in until it fully engages with the cabinet. Test the sliding motion to confirm it's properly aligned and functioning. Adjust as needed for a smooth operation.

Yes, you can disassemble most furniture with the proper tools and experience. Beds, tables, bookshelves, and chairs are all items that can be disassembled. Be sure to keep track of parts like screws and hardware by labeling them with the disassembled items. Avoid disassembling delicate or antique items in case they become too damaged to reassemble.

Minor water damage on wood tables can be reversed fairly easily. You can remove stains and light surface damage with a sandblock, then repaint and re-varnish the wood surface. For swollen and rotten wood, you can cut away the damaged parts and use a wood filler as long as the affected area isn’t too much.

This depends on the furniture. It’s certainly fine for wood, metal, or composite materials to get wet. The same cannot be said for affiliated cushions and coverings. Many of these adjacent items claim to be water-resistant, but poorly-made accessories take longer to dry, leaving plenty of time for mold to grow. Keep an eye on how your furniture stands up to rain before going in with a pressure washer.

Regularly inspect older furnishings for scratches, dents, sun damage, tears, or insect infestations in upholstered objects. These are all signs that an object needs to be repaired, and tending to them sooner rather than later will ensure they don’t worsen with time and eventually require more costly refinishing.
