"First off, I found Airflow Masters here, on Angie's List.  James, the owner, answered the phone.  He sent his HVAC Tech, MIke, out to my house the day after they said they would but it was raining hard the day I called them and this was an outside job, so fine.  Reading other reviews on Google that's an amazing response time.  Mike found the problem in 5 minutes and made the repair.  Had the part on his truck.  So easy.
My HVAC system is 15 years old and my neighbors have all had to replace their systems by now, so I know a full $5000 replacement is coming and I was dreading this repair because of the potential for bad news.  
Here's what Mike said, no kidding, "I always check the most inexpensive thing first, and go from there".   
If you live anywhere near Jacksonville, NC - call these guys first.  MIke, the Tech, loves the company he works for.  Has a lot of respect for James.  And this isn't Mike's first gig.  When people like their jobs and the people they work for give them respect and training like James has obviously given Mike, it trickles down to the customers in the form of trustworthy and honest service.
Listen, I'm a big fan of Angie's List and think it's important that we give good, accurate reviews.  When I do need the $5000 repair, I'm calling Airflow Masters.

"Carolina Comfort Air installed a new HVAC system in my home, including the replacement of all of the original ductwork in the attic.  Consultant Jose was great.  He recommended a split duct system to allows the downstairs and upstairs to operate on separate thermostats.  He was able to schedule the installation in a timely manner.  The installation crew - Adrian, KJ, Joe and Aaron - were courteous, professional, knowledgeable and considerate and did a great job of cleaning up behind themselves at the end of each day.  The office staff were very responsive when I called with questions.  Carolina Comfort Air came highly recommended by a friend, and they did not disappoint.  I am very pleased with the installation and customer service.  I definitely recommend."

"Very professional people. Neatly dressed. Arrived on time. Worked with me and my finances for a motor install. Cleaned up after he ( Richard),completed the install. "Tech was punctual and competent with troubleshooting.
  Was able to confirm problem was the thermostat.  This relatively common part was not available on the truck however, so tech had to make a return call to install the new part.  As a plus, the tech recommended replacement of  the defrost timer also which is a common failure point.  On return call, parts were installed and fridge verified as working properly.
Cost seemed a little high to me.  Bill was ~$220 and parts cost on the internet was ~$80.  This gives a labor charge of $140 for less than 2 hrs work and included a 15% Angies List coupon discount.  The website also stated there was a 15% senior discount, which was not included.  If this senior discount is not applicable with other discounts, the website needs to say so.  Note this is the second time I have run into problems with the senior discount.
