"We love our new tinting! It’s helping with the sun coming in. It’s going to be perfect way to help keep the warm summer sun out. The staff was very professional and kind. They got the work done in a timely manner and left no mess after. The owners are very sweet and kind as well. If we ever need any future window tinting we will definitely be back! 10/10 I highly recommend booking with them!"

"Justin went right to work on the windows. He scraped off any bits of paint or dirt and washed inside and out, including removing the "grills" (?) and washing the screens. He was able to access every window, including some needing curtains removed and some needing to be accessed carefully. He is courteous, kind, and hard-working. Everything was perfect. Five GOLD STARS across the board!"

Small jobs welcome

"Nate does fantastic work. He has a unique method of repairing and replacing porch and window screen with custom built frames. He has excellent attention to detail with caulking and painting. I would use Nate for much more than screens. His price was also very fair, and he is prompt to respond and follows his schedule commitments."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Window capping costs between $1 and $2 per linear foot. Since your average window size is 24 by 36 inches, you’re looking at 10 linear feet in total, or $10 to $20 per window. Labor adds another $30 to $100 per hour to the project. If you have custom windows, you’ll spend more to have your windows capped. Fiberglass tends to cost more than vinyl and aluminum, while vinyl costs the least but has the shortest lifespan and may have a higher long term cost.

There are several ways to reduce noise coming through your windows. You can seal gaps around the window frames with acoustic caulk or fresh weatherstripping to reduce noise and air leaks. Installing sound-dampening curtains, thick blinds, or shades can also help deaden sound vibrations. For an additional interior barrier, consider installing an acrylic or plexiglass sheet inside the window, which stifles sound while still allowing for outdoor views. Another strategy is to add external barriers, like dense shrubbery or a sturdy fence, to block neighborhood noises. If these methods are not effective enough, it might be time to install new noise-canceling windows.

The most common types of window frames include frame and sash, metal or aluminum frames, composite frames, fiberglass frames, vinyl frames, wood frames, glass or glazed frames, and insulated frames. Frames can also be categorized by operating types, such as awning frames, single/double-sliding frames, fixed frames, casement frames, and single/double-hung frames.

Glass block windows offer several unique benefits over traditional windows, and they create a much more unique look. These specialty windows offer added privacy while allowing natural light into the space, which is why they’re a popular choice for bathroom features. They also provide increased security as glass blocks do not open unlike traditional windows. Plus, they provide increased energy efficiency, lowering energy costs and preventing drafts.

Yes, triple-pane windows are more resistant to condensation. They help to reduce interior condensation that forms as a result of warmer temperatures inside your home than outside it. This makes them a good fit for cooler climates, particularly with newer, well-sealed homes that retain higher levels of moisture in the winter months.
