He handed the work off to his assistant David who barely began the project before he abandoned his client. Never returned phone calls or any messages and did not show up at scheduled times. He completed everything I asked, and did it the way I wanted, except one or two small things he changed, because the way I had envisioned it was not feasible because of longevity of the project. His changes meant I would be able to enjoy it for years to come. Also, some things I didn't quite know how I wanted done, so we sat down and I gave him a vague idea of what I wanted and he made suggestions until we came up with something I liked.
