"John came out within 2 hours and was excellent. If there was a 5.5 or 6 that is what I would give him. Great person, reliable and honest. We are having him do 3 more trees for us. If we need anything done this is who we will call and recommend to our friends and neighbors. GREAT!!!!!!"

Customers say: True professional

"The job went very well. The crew showed up right on time and went to work. They were very good about letting me point out exactly what limbs I wanted removed. They removed just the right amount of foliage to get the effect I wanted. After the trimming was finished, they did a great job cleaning up. I will definitely hire them again if I need more tree work."

"I am very pleased with the work that Heith and his crew did for me. Large oak tree limbs were removed from over my roof without any problems. Also, removed all dead limbs from several oak trees and all small sucker limbs. Excellent clean up after the trimming was completed. Very professional group. I would recommend them to anyone looking to remove dangerous tree limbs. I will be calling them back to remove 2 dead trees from my land."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, tree roots can regenerate after they’re pruned or cut. In fact, trimming can stimulate new growth, especially in healthy trees. The tree’s roots can still grow back even after a tree is cut down, (and learning how to get rid of regrowing tree roots is a separate feat). Still, if you don’t wish to harm a tree, pruning the roots should be done with extreme care, and ideally by a professional.

Most tree removals take 3-8 hours, requiring additional time for stump grinding or debris hauling.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

Generally, homeowners do not need permission to cut down a tree on their own private property, but there are several exceptions where a permit may be required. You might need a permit if the tree is particularly large, old, or a protected species, such as a heritage tree. Trees located near public property or power lines can also be subject to special rules. Additionally, many local governments and homeowners associations (HOAs) have regulations controlling which trees can be removed to manage an area's appearance or prevent the spread of invasive species. To avoid hefty fines, it is crucial to check with your local government and HOA to determine if a permit is needed before you begin.

No. Most of the time, suckers are only a sign that the tree is experiencing stress. However, they can also be the canary in the coal mine, letting you know that something else is stressing your tree. If you have lots of suckers on your tree, calling in an arborist or a tree care expert is always a good call to determine the cause and develop a solution that de-stresses your tree.
