"I have moved multiple times, due to my career, and have had bad experiences with most of the companies I have used until now! The owners of this company have personally moved me, 2 different Times within 2 months. They have also moved my mom and helped her with many extra things to assist her with her big move from Texas to Asheville. The are prompt, work at a steady pace, Courteous with your furniture and are truly professional movers!! You can trust they will properly pack, load and unload your belongings. I am thankful they were the top moving company on angies list when I needed movers. I recommend them highly! I will not use any one else for my future moves!!"

"I have used The Perfect Move SC twice in the last 3 years for moving an entire household. Anytime you are moving, there are many vendors involved from changing utilities to having repairs/improvements on both ends of the move. The Perfect Move SC staff are far and above the best experience of both moves. They were punctual, went "over & above" expectations to ensure that our moving experience was as stress-free as possible and were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They made sure appliances and furniture were where we wanted it and would go to great lengths to make it work even if somewhat inconvenient. They worked within our schedule and any little mishaps were repaired and made right in a timely manner. We will definitely use them again."

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

The best ways to prepare for movers include decluttering and properly labeling boxes. Decluttering lessens the workload and ensures you are not bringing unwanted items into your new home. Labeling boxes lets movers know which rooms they belong in, reducing confusion when it's time to unpack.

It’s rare to rent moving straps alone. Typically, you buy them outright. However, if you rent moving equipment, like loading tools or a furniture dolly, from a local or big-box business, they may come with moving straps for you to use.

Yes, moving a piano often causes it to become out of tune, even if you're not moving the piano very far. One reason is that any temperature and humidity changes can affect a piano's tuning. Additionally, the bumps and jolts from a moving truck usually push a piano out of tune.

However, don't jump right to tuning it once the piano gets to your new home. Instead, it's best to wait at least two weeks for the instrument to acclimate to its new environment. After a couple weeks, you'll get an idea of what the piano will really sound like in its new home, at which point you can call a piano technician to get it properly tuned.

It can be tempting to want to help your movers as they pack or transport your belongings, but in general, most movers prefer their customers to stay out of the way. Rest assured that your movers are confident in their skills and the process will likely go faster without your help. If you see something concerning, let your movers know right away so they can adjust or remedy the issue.

You can calculate the cost of moving by evaluating your home size, the weight of your belongings, distance, and the method of moving. You’ll also want to account for moving company fees, cost of supplies, gas prices, storage fees, insurance, and more. To get the most accurate estimate for your upcoming move, get price quotes from several moving companies in your area.
