The owner and founder, Scott Lett, is a hands on general contractor who is more often than not on site working with his crew. Scott also has also performed over 2000 home inspections so brings the knowledge of how to do the job right to avoid problems later. We can handle any residential construction project from whole house window replacement to major renovations and additions.

"I cannot speak to the quality of Scott's work because he never showed up to do any. We first met in January for a job I wanted completed by April 1st. Scott told me the job would take 3 weeks but that he was traveling for the last 2 weeks in February and wasn't "comfortable" leaving his crew without his supervision to finish the job that wouldn't be completed before he left. We were impressed with Scott and trusted him so we agreed to wait until March 1 to begin the job. I contacted him at the end of the last week in February to confirm his would begin the job that Monday (March 4) and he confirmed. That Monday he texted me to say he had "confused my job with another" and actually wouldn't be starting until the following Monday (March 11). I reminded him the timeline for completing the job and he assured me it would be done by April 1. The following Monday morning I received an email he had sent me at 5:30 that morning to inform me he would be "out of commission" as of March 14th so he couldn't start the job until "sometime in April". In that email he offered me the option of hiring the crew he had intended to use on the job, stating that they would honor his quote and get the job done by April. I reminded him that he told us back in January he was "uncomfortable" with this crew doing the job with his "supervision" so why would I hire them now? Obviously I passed. Scott never once apologized. In fact, he was quite rude and dismissive. Adding to my frustration is the fact that we made arrangements for this project in JANUARY so we would not be exactly where we are right now; mid-March without the job even started. In my experience, he cannot be trusted to do what he says he will do and I do not recommend him."

LJ Flooring is a new 3000 square feet floor covering store located in Concord, NC. We have been in the flooring industry for over 15 years and are proud to now have a retail store front that our customers can visit to see the flooring materials we carry and install. Our certified installers are at your service and ready to professionally install beautiful floors in your home and business.

"I contracted with LJ flooring Incorporated to install 900 square feet of luxury vinyl plank flooring. They started the job and then abruptly quit. When I spoke to the owner I was told that he was having problems with the material. I advised him that I believe Mohawk is an industry leader when it comes to this product. I asked him if his installer read the install instructions or if he was told how to install it. The answer to that is “NO”. Come to find out the reason it was a no answer was the installer cannot read English or speak English. When we went to look at what was installed we found the problem was with how it was being installed. A luxury vinyl plank floor needs to be installed in a specific manner so that it creates a watertight system. LJ flooring method of install was with a hammer and beating it into place. When I questioned the owner about this he said that's the way it's done. I advised him I think the manufacturer would have a better idea and a better understanding on how best to install their product. The product that was installed is no longer usable and will require replacement. Be careful when using this company. He will steer you in a direction of using his inferior products that he has marked up. When it comes to any new flooring product the install makes the difference. If it's not installed correctly it will fail and the manufacturer will not honor any warranty. If the installer can't read or speak language there's no guarantee their ability to ascertain the proper methods and procedures will be followed and you will have a poor job."
