"After calling around I found the price quoted by The Water Heater Experts was about $150 cheaper than their competition.  This would have normally concerned me, but I decided to go with them since they have such great reviews on Angie's list.  I am glad I did.
The new water heater was installed two days after I placed the order (as scheduled - I did NOT have an emergency situation).  The guys showed up as expected and within three hours had removed the old water heater and installed the new one.  Through the entire process they went out of their way to explain what they were doing and why they were doing it.  They took the time to show me how to change settings and pointed out a couple of things to keep an eye on with some of the existing older plumbing attached to the heater.

"If I could give more stars I would!! Billy and his team are knowledgeable, fast, kind and affordable. They know what they are doing and truly care about the work that they do. We have an older home and have had quite a few plumbing issues in the past, but thanks to Appius plumbing I don't worry about ever having another plumbing issue again. "I requested a 2-4 pm window and a specific technician, David, whom I know personally.  He arrived at 2:30 so we were off to a great start!  He went straight to work wearing floor-protecting booties.  He starting with re-familiarizing me with how my thermostats worked which was helpful, and changed my filters while he had his ladder out.  He left me with written recommendations on how I could sign up for an annual maintenance agreement, install a UV light, and of course, replace my rusting 14 year old system.  I did not require any repairs but will certainly call them back for a spring A/C tune up and for a price to replace the old system when the time comes.
As a disclaimer, I formerly owned One Hour Heating and Air for whom David once worked.  I believe that makes me a more critical customer.
