"Our septic alarm went off a week or so ago and we ignored it (hoping it would miraculously reset or something as we knew it meant expense and we are seniors on a fixed income). We started getting a stink in the back yard around the septic and the toliets weren't flushing right so I called them about 1 pm today and they said they would be out within the hour and they were. My husband went out and watched as they worked. When they opened the tank to pump it, it was literally ready to start backing up into the house! We won't ignore an alarm again. They told us about how it generally backs up to the washing machine first and then to sinks, showers, tubs, etc. and that they had just had a lady that had that happen and threw away her washer because she couldn't get the smell out. We knew we were blessed to have avoided a very costly mess. They were fast, efficient and very friendly. I had paid nearly $500 to another company simply to replace my septic pump five years ago with no pumping of the tank. When Affordable removed it, it was a plastic pump which they informed us doesn't hold up very well. It was dead. After they pumped the tank and confirmed that the pump needed to be replaced, they had to make a trip to the supply house to get a new pump and return and install it. They were back and had the job wrapped up before 4:00 PM. It wasn't cheap, but was comparable to what projected costs were on Angie's List with this kind of project. "I had heard good things about Alpine and decided to give them a try.  I called right before lunch and asked if they could send someone out to get my air conditioning working.  Alpine was willing to accommodate my schedule on a work day and showed up on time.  Met with Ricky and explained the situation.  Prior to coming inside, he put on some little booties so as not to bring in any unwanted dirt or dust.  He evaluated the situation and explained that the drain line was stopped up and that the aux drain pan had water in it which shutdown the system.  Ricky cleared the line and removed the water from the pan so that the float switch would reset.  Shortly thereafter, the AC was running again and starting to cool off the house.

"It did take a little time to connect up with Jeff - partly due to his being swamped after the storm and my work schedule. He got here by the time promised and due to some rain the evening before, had to come back out a little later in the day when things had dried out. He explained what he was going to be checking for up on the roof and what actions he would take should he find any problems. Once up on the roof he checked everything out as promised, fastened down the flanges where they had been lifted by the storm and reported that there were no other issues with my roof. (Relief!) Jeff was pleasant to work with and very professional and I would definitely recommend his services to others."

"We had some large hardwood trees. Most of them very close to the house and several pines some of them were leaning toward power lines. Mr. Smith contacted me promptly and set up a time to meet and review the job. After reviewing four estimates we chose Smith-Richards. Mr. Smith provided a start date and insurance information after being hired. They arrived on time, kept us informed throughout the job, went above and beyond by placing the chipper mulch in a specified area and spreading it out and removing some piles of sticks and limbs we had stacked in the yard from previous storms. The wood and all debris was removed the yard was repaired and grass seed sewn per the contract. They even blew off the deck, driveway and walkways. We were very pleased with the entire process. These folks are fine professionals with great customer service skills and very skillful in the way they performed the work."
