"Cary and her team did a fantastic job on our recently purchased and remolded home. This was more than just house cleaning. There was dust everywhere and the floors were a mess from construction workers. Cary’s team cleaned out cabinets, cabinet tops, windows and blinds along with the basic house cleaning. Basically the house was cleaned ceiling to floor. If you want a house done right, give Cary a call."

"Micah was very professional and helpful when it came to cleaning our carpets. We have cat's and our regular vacuum just wasn't cutting it. After the carpet cleaning we could tell a huge difference and would definitely have them back again for a regular cleaning."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.

Knowing how to clean baseboard heaters is worth it, because this skill means your heating system will work more efficiently. By clearing out dirt and debris from the metal fins inside the heater, they can better transfer heat. Not only does this keep you nice and warm, but it may lower your energy bills, too.

The best thing with which to clean a hot tub is whatever the manufacturer recommends; in most cases, this is a gentle surface cleaner and a soft cloth. Recommended hot tub cleaners can include specially formulated cleaning agents, mild dish soap, baking soda, vinegar, or diluted bleach. For your hot tub exterior, choose wood or vinyl cleaner (depending on the casing material).

You should never use household cleaning products, harsh chemicals such as undiluted bleach or acids, or abrasive cleansers or cloths, as these can scratch or etch your hot tub’s coating or shell and cause permanent damage.

The answer to whether it’s safe to use a moldy dishwasher is: It depends. Mold exposure affects people differently. It’s possible that even a small amount of mold in your dishwasher could contribute to respiratory issues and other health problems, especially if you have an underlying health condition. Mold is capable of surviving the high heat and detergent used in a dishwasher cycle, so it’s important to ensure that you act quickly at the first sign of mold, or contact a house cleaner near you to stay on top of any potential mold problems.

Most homeowner’s insurance policies can help cover the cost of biohazard cleanings for specific events. Biohazard events like unattended death, infectious disease, and medical emergency are generally covered, as are flooring and drywall repairs. It’s best to check with your insurance company to see what is specifically covered.
