1. There were a few things that happened (some marks on the walls, etc.) that you can expect to happen when moving heavy furniture, and the owner promptly took care of those things for me when they returned the next morning. 2. One of the men picked up one of our 40" TV's (a plasma, which is quite a bit heavier than LCD or LED TV's) and cracked the stand. The owner assured me he would replace that for me. I didn't hear from him so called him in January and again gave him the information for the stand. It is now March 30 (almost 4 months later) and he has yet to replace it or offer any compensation for breaking it. 3. When they were packing the truck, I was asked if the trampoline was being moved as well, to which I replied that it was, so 2 of the men, along with my daughter and my help, disassembled the trampoline and they placed it in the truck. When they returned the next day to repair the small places in the walls, they also assembled the trampoline. The owner was with them this time and commented that they were not supposed to move the trampoline as that is an extra charge. I offered to pay for it but he refused, stating it was "ok". I gave them the manual and they (4 of them) began assembling the trampoline (I was inside unpacking). They came to the front door and stated they were finished, and they left. Later that morning I went to the backyard to go through some boxes that had been left in the greenhouse and saw that the trampoline had been partially assembled, as they had assembled it entirely wrong and when they realized it they just stopped and left. The thing that upset me the most was them not being honest and just telling me that they had messed up. Since there was no way to quickly fix what they had done, we had to disassemble, then reassemble it that weekend. Again, that wasn't the issue. The issue was that they just left it in a mess and didn't tell me. I can accept an honest 'mistake' in assembling something (even when they did have the manual) but just tell someone what happened.... All in all, the young men who did all the work were fantastic. They really worked hard and I feel they did their very best to make this a good experience. The score I've given them simply reflects the fact that the owner never called back to replace the broken stand. He came to our home and spent 45 minutes to an hour with us to determine our needs. He is a very personable, hardworking, and trustworthy young family man. We decided to have his company provide 3 Hemlock and 6 Spruce trees as well as replace 3 dying shrubs with 3 Barberry bushes, spread 20 yards of mulch, and grind several old stumps. Brian was able to match the price of a large discount competitor on the trees. We felt it was well worth an additional $250.00 to have his crew dig extra large holes and remove our dense clay soil from all 9 planting holes and replace it with enriched black soil. Since this has been a very busy spring for Redwood Landscaping, work didn’t begin until several weeks later. Brian suggested we pick out the individual Spruce trees since those were farm grown rather than grown in nursery conditions. He selected the remaining trees and shrubs from a well-respected nursery. Brian came out to our home again to help us with approximate tree placement. A short time later a subcontractor came to grind old tree stumps and roots. The next day the trees arrived as well as the crew of 5. Roger, the team leader, spent a lot of time adjusting the position of the trees to ensure that the spacing and light conditions would be optimum. A mountain of mulch was piled in the street, and Roger talked to both sets of neighbors to see if he could use their driveways for access to our corner lot, which they readily agreed to. The crew worked non-stop from 8:00 AM to after 5:00. They took minimal breaks to eat and drink. One neighbor said she was exhausted just watching them work so hard! The tree holes that were dug were very deep and wide. The clay dirt they hauled away filled the back of their truck. Enriched black soil was mixed with our existing layer of top soil and back-filled into the holes. The trees and shrubs were beautifully planted and watered, and the mulch was spread in all of the areas we had designated. The clean-up was impeccable. You would never know that any mulch, let alone 20 yards of it, was ever in the street. Our backyard looks beautiful, and we have full confidence that the trees will grow and thrive. Our neighbor has already contracted with Redwood Landscaping to do her landscaping projects because she was so impressed with the work they did for us. I would highly recommend Brian Ruh’s Redwood Landscaping Company and crew."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/okemos/redwood-landscaping-reviews-2603347.htm"},"position":3}]}

The overall experience with the movers was actually good. The young men showed up promptly and worked very hard (our move took the entire day). I gave them a B for responsiveness and professionalism based upon my interactions with the owner, not the young men doing the moving. Here is a...

FAQs for greenhouse and nursery service projects in Lewisville, NC
Buying plants from a nursery is one thing, but ensuring that they are properly planted is another. While you might not need to hire a landscaper for every plant that you buy from a nursery, it’s a great idea to have their expertise and experience to plant larger items, like burlapped trees or specialty plants like rose bushes. Even better, before making a trip to a nursery to buy new plants, consult a local landscaper to test your soil for pH levels, soil texture, and phosphorus and potassium levels to help determine the best plants for your area.
Garden nurseries offer many plants to make your home and garden flourish. In-container plants are one option, including perennials, annuals, and small shrubs or trees. Large hedge plants and roses are called bare-root plants, meaning they have not been potted. Finally, you will see some burlapped plants, typically larger trees and shrubs with burlap wrapping around the bottom.
The best time to plant is between spring and autumn. Springtime weather is typically mild and is when nurseries start to bloom. When the summer weather arrives and it’s hot out, it’s best to avoid planting bare-root plants, but you can still plant many in-container varieties. The first sign of fall is another great opportunity to plant biennials if you live in southern states, or a lovely vegetable garden up north.
If you’re hiring a landscaper to plant the garden of your dreams, you do not need to provide them with plants that you bought yourself from a nursery. While you certainly can provide your landscaper with plants, keep in mind that some nurseries provide discounts to landscaping companies, therefore potentially lowering your materials cost. Beyond the cost of the plants themselves, you need to have additional materials like topsoil and mulch for the project. Most likely, your landscaper can get a discount on these materials as well, so it’s worth speaking with them before making any large purchases.
While there are over 400,000 different flowering plants worldwide, there are five main types of flowers. These flower types are based on their lifecycles, giving each type a unique personality. These types are:
Annuals, which complete their entire life cycle within a single growing season.
Perennials, which the tops die off in the winter but regrow in spring.
Biennials, which complete their entire life cycle within two years.
Hybrids, which exhibit either annual or perennial behaviors depending on location
Flowering shrubs, which are small to medium-sized perennial woody plants, such as shrubs or evergreens.
