They have a very fair price for the amount of debris that needs to be disposed of. They are very response in coming out in a timely fashion. They clean up thouroughly. I've used this business numerious times and always pleased. The owner communicates and responds well to request of his services.

Jobs have been of consistent high quality. We have more work planned for the summer of '14, if it ever comes.

Their price was reasonable. The people who came out to do work for us were professional and fast. They cleaned up and their work was very good so we gradually contracted everything with them.

The owner is very pleasant, and he is reasonable when discussing what you need (or really don't need). He was late in responding with with an estimate, and we had to follow-up with a phone call to determine the status. Once started, all work was handled well and on time. They accomplished a huge amount a landscaping in one day with a moderate sized crew. (My husband and I decided it would have taken us two weeks to do this ourselves + one entire bottle of Ibuprofen.) The owner made a follow-up call after installation of landscaping to ensure we knew proper maintenance for watering and ensure our satisfaction with everything.

You need an idea of what plants and trees you want. Brian Ruh doesn't seem to be an expert on plants or trees. Feel free to make suggestions if you don't like what's happening or come up with a better idea. All crew members were exceptionally polite. Treat them well!

I initially contacted Brian Ruh, owner of Redwood Landscaping to give us an estimate for adding evergreens to our backyard to replace the pines that had died over the years. He came to our home and spent 45 minutes to an hour with us to determine our needs. He is a very personable, hardworking, and trustworthy young family man. We decided to have his company provide 3 Hemlock and 6 Spruce trees as well as replace 3 dying shrubs with 3 Barberry bushes, spread 20 yards of mulch, and grind several old stumps. Brian was able to match the price of a large discount competitor on the trees. We felt it was well worth an additional $250.00 to have his crew dig extra large holes and remove our dense clay soil from all 9 planting holes and replace it with enriched black soil. Since this has been a very busy spring for Redwood Landscaping, work didn’t begin until several weeks later. Brian suggested we pick out the individual Spruce trees since those were farm grown rather than grown in nursery conditions. He selected the remaining trees and shrubs from a well-respected nursery. Brian came out to our home again to help us with approximate tree placement. A short time later a subcontractor came to grind old tree stumps and roots. The next day the trees arrived as well as the crew of 5. Roger, the team leader, spent a lot of time adjusting the position of the trees to ensure that the spacing and light conditions would be optimum. A mountain of mulch was piled in the street, and Roger talked to both sets of neighbors to see if he could use their driveways for access to our corner lot, which they readily agreed to. The crew worked non-stop from 8:00 AM to after 5:00. They took minimal breaks to eat and drink. One neighbor said she was exhausted just watching them work so hard! The tree holes that were dug were very deep and wide. The clay dirt they hauled away filled the back of their truck. Enriched black soil was mixed with our existing layer of top soil and back-filled into the holes. The trees and shrubs were beautifully planted and watered, and the mulch was spread in all of the areas we had designated. The clean-up was impeccable. You would never know that any mulch, let alone 20 yards of it, was ever in the street. Our backyard looks beautiful, and we have full confidence that the trees will grow and thrive. Our neighbor has already contracted with Redwood Landscaping to do her landscaping projects because she was so impressed with the work they did for us. I would highly recommend Brian Ruh’s Redwood Landscaping Company and crew.
