"Review by Remo and Alice M. in Kitty Hawk, NC Project: Clean Carpets It was a dream come true. They were able to clean our carpets sooner than we expected them to and did a great job. Without a doubt, Carolina Pro Clean is the only company that we will ever call."

"I was in a bit of a rush to try to get my house cleaned so I could get completely moved out and thoroughly cleaned. Mr. Aaron at United Christian Cleaners did an amazing job squeezing me in for a cleaning without much warning. While he and Mr. David were there cleaning they were both incredibly respectful and courteous to ensure they left the house properly sparkling and clean. And my goodness did it smell amazing once they were complete with the property cleaning. I recommend UCC any chance I get to anyone in the hampton roads area. If you're on the hunt for quality, you've found it here with United Christian Cleaners. Thank you again to Mr. Aaron and Mr. David for helping me out and treating me like a friend!"

"Hide Tide cleaners were professional and efficient. Their friendly staff and attention to detail are only two of the many reasons I would recommend them for any cleaning. After they deep cleaned our 4000+ square foot house with three kids and three dogs after a major snow storm, I’m sure no job is too big for them. We are very pleased and hope to use them regularly."

"Great honest contractors. They did my bathrooms, hot water heater, unclogged my house drain and they did a French drain so my basement is not wet anymore. I already hired them to do my whole roof in the spring. I will hire them anytime."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Although never required, tipping shows house cleaners how much you appreciate their work. If you are satisfied with their consistent service, consider tipping a thoughtful way of showing appreciation. This is especially true if the same cleaners continuously provide the services, which means you can tip them for each visit, monthly, or annually, depending on your preference.

Professionals will use a range of bathtub cleaners, often depending on preference and the type of tub surface. However, there are many store-bought cleaners that consistently cut through tough grime and are still safe on a range of tub surfaces. Many of these will contain bleach or gentler disinfecting ingredients to ensure a deep clean.

Professionals use pH-balanced solutions, fabric protectors, and safe steam cleaning technology for specific fabrics. These products are designed to break down dirt effectively without leaving residues.

No, you should never use isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to clean flat paint or paint with any other finish. Isopropyl alcohol works similarly to a paint thinner, so it’s likely to liquify the paint on your walls and leave damaged or bare areas. For stubborn stains, try mixing one cup of vinegar or baking soda into a bucket of warm water and scrubbing very gently with a soft sponge. If the stain or soiling is pervasive, touch up the area by repainting the affected areas.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.
