"I still have things that need fixed and touched up. They did my siding, gutters, doors and shutters. It?s just mediocre work nothing special and they take forever. Very disappointed but lesson learned. They work a couple days a week tops, three at best and they start late and stop early. What should have taken a week to do took 3 months. Installation alone 2 months and again touch ups need done to say they completed the job. I would not recommend them. Their customer service could use a lot of work they make it about them and not the customer."

Land Surveying questions, answered by experts

In Greensboro, be wary of surveyors who provide unclear or unusually low quotes, don’t offer written estimates, or request full payment before starting work. If a professional avoids questions about your property lines, lacks local project experience, or doesn’t clarify what’s included in the deliverables, consider it a warning sign. Reliable surveyors communicate clearly and understand local land use requirements.

Helpful?

In Greensboro, you’ll find licensed land surveyors, engineering firms with surveying divisions, and specialists in areas like construction staking or property line disputes. Some professionals focus on residential boundary surveys, while others handle commercial or municipal projects. It’s important to choose a contractor with experience relevant to your specific needs, such as topographic mapping or subdivision platting.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Greensboro often forget to clear brush or debris from property lines, which can slow down surveyors. Relying on outdated survey maps or not confirming the type of survey needed for their project can also cause issues. Overlooking neighborhood association guidelines or failing to verify a surveyor’s credentials may result in incomplete or delayed boundary surveys.

Helpful?

In Greensboro, maintaining your land survey means keeping survey markers like iron pins or concrete monuments visible and undisturbed. Trim back overgrown vegetation along property lines and periodically check that markers haven’t shifted due to landscaping or construction. Secure your survey documents in a safe place, and consider updating your survey if you add structures or alter property boundaries.

Helpful?

In Greensboro, the timeline for land surveying projects varies by type. Residential boundary surveys typically require 1-2 weeks, while topographic surveys may take 2-4 weeks. ALTA surveys or projects involving multiple property lines can extend to 3-6 weeks. Delays may occur due to weather, dense vegetation, or the need to coordinate with utility companies for locating underground lines.
